    Hey fellas!

This is my first post here :)!

Recently my Macbook Pro just got stolen, and I am therefore in need for a new computer. I don't want an Apple computer again, because I want to be able to game. However, I still want a computer that is portable, stylish and most importantly, can be used for university. I am no heavy gamer, and the only game I will be playing is probably Dota 2, which I imagine will be piece of cake for the Razer Blade.

I do however have a few concerns. The best thing about a Mac, and without any competition from any Windows laptop I have used, is the touchpad. It is honestly light years ahead of any Windows laptop I have tried. I do not expect the Razer Blade to be as good as a Mac, but can anyone tell me if it is above decent for a Windows machine? My second question is concerning battery life. I will mostly use the Blade at school, where 5 hours of battery would be perfect. Will it be able to last that long (with normal web-surfing, PowerPoint, and Word open), or will I need to bring my charger? My final question is regarding heat. As said, I will only be gaming Dota 2 and use it for basic university stuf, so I imagine there will be no heat, correct?

Basically, I think the Razer Blade is awesome and it is more than enough for my needs - Dota 2 and university useage. My only questions pre-purcharse are about touchpad, battery life, and heat.

Thanks a lot in advance for,
    Nathan!

Edit: sorry for misleading heading, forgot to change it!

The Blade's touchpad is very good. It's not quite as nice as the one on my rMBP, but it's close enough not to bother me. The hardware buttons below it are pretty crappy though--they feel plasticky and loose, but I don't use them. Tap-to-click and two-finger-tap to right-click are where it's at. You will need to modify a registry setting to get two-finger-tap to right-click.

I get 6 to 6.5 hours with light web and productivity use with wifi on and "power saver" mode set. The BatteryCare app is helpful here as it can switch modes automatically when you unplug.

If the most demanding game you play is DOTA2, you will not have any heat problems, but I'm sure you will want to try some more graphically intense games after you get this bad boy.

Hey thanks for the quick response! Glad that those issues will not be a problem :)

I hope other people can confirm this! However, I have to go to sleep now (I am from Denmark), so I will answer your posts tomorrow :)
