Going on a trip and I don't plan to have any inverter or charging station accessible for 6-8 hours.

Found this: Amazon.com: Poweradd™ Pilot Pro 32000mAh Monster Capacity Multi-Voltage (5V 9V 12V 16V 19V 20V) Portable Charger External Battery Backup Power Bank with Smart LCD Digital Display for Tablet PC, Netbooks, Notebooks, Laptops, Smart Phones -- Compatib

Outputs 19v @ 4.5a so I figured I could use two in parallel to get a full 8a~ off of it to keep my laptop going in full game mode for the duration of the trip. A 32a LiPo should get me 25.6 Ah of juice alone and 51.2 in parallel which I think should be more than enough to cover me for at least 6 hours off the grid.

Anyone have any experience doing this?

You could probably fabricate a device like my dual AC adapter mod to connect two if these in parallel, but I have no idea whether or not it would have the kind of endurance you are looking for (6 to 8 hours). My guess is probably not. If you are going to be traveling using public transportation (air, train, bus) you would almost need to pay for a second seat to accommodate the extra electronics clutter.

You are most likely right. They probably won't hold up more than 2 hours at most. I guess I'll just load my Shield Tablet up with some portable games and movies and get a single power bank to cover that.

There's plenty of off the shelf devices that can act as "portable" AC power. What ever happened to laptops where you could change the battery and carry several spares. :(

Lol yea but it won't help running in a full gaming mode. I could probably build my own battery but no time for that and to swap it out would be a hassle.
