If, like me, you purchased this game on Steam and are experiencing the problem with the initial non-full-screen loading panel (the one where it logs you in to Rockstar's Social Media Club) freezing and being unable to start the game, try this tip - it worked for me:

Prior to attempting to start the game, run the Windows Device Manager. Expand the Display Adapters portion of the device tree, find the entry for your NVidia mobile GPU (mine says NVidia GeForce GTX 870M, but newer or older Razers may have a different mobile GPU), right-click it, and choose "Disable" from the context menu (don't worry - we'll re-enable it in just a moment). After your screen flashes as the device is disabled, start the game. Wait for initial game panel to appear (the small, non-full-screen one that logs you in). About 2 to 3 seconds after it appears (before the login occurs), quickly right-click the same entry you disabled in the device manager, and re-enable it. This should allow the game to go ahead and start.

Hopefully, Rockstar or NVidia will fix this problem quickly, but in the meantime, this trick allows me to play the game on my Razer.

Had to do this as well on my 2014 Blade. The Social Club launcher would crash everytime I launched it otherwise. Rockstar's been pretty silent on the issue though.

It's for things like this that I like to wait a little while before I get games

I shouldn't have to, the game should work when it's released, but most of the times it doesn't :/

I remember I saw an update from Nvidia Experience that mentioned GTA V a few days ago. I didn't paid attention to the detail when I updated. But make sure you have updated to the latest version.

The patch from last week fixed the issue with the launcher, so this workaround is no longer needed.

Question for those who've added custom music to the game, are you able to change the song to the next one? No matter what key I map it to it doesn't work for me.
