I'm tempted, but it'll mean importing it to the UK, not cheap, and no warranty...

Heat should be a little less of a problem than the 2014 version, though is still likely to be a bit of an issue

I wouldn't if I were you either. I'm not even going to buy directly from Razer because from what I've seen on this forum, they have bad CS.

@RazerCS Can you make any public comment regarding this? As far as I know any issues that have been reported on here have been resolved except for the most recent with the guy who received a defective unit that died twice and they refused to let him return it.

really curious to see how the 1080p version differs in terms of battery life. hope to see a review of that soon, as i'm ready to sell my MBP, if it's decent enough.

Anyone know if the 1080p screen is better than the matte screen in the 2013 model, as that wasn't meant to be very good (it was a TN screen)?

I don't think anyone has the 1080p model. Their shipping (meaning Razer) is a month away, has 256GB SSD (or 128GB since they seem to keep changing the site) and 8GB ram. Nothx!

Even the problems that were fixed were after a lot of hassle and they do not do anything to compensate their customers. A recent example would be poneh. I've seen lots of threads where the CS people just didn't seem to care. You could argue that they don't have to do compensate their customers but this still leaves their CS way behind market leaders like Apple and Dell or even Microsoft.

It will probably be much closer to the 2013 edition maybe even approach/break six hours.

I've read a lot about it and found people complaining about the heat problem. I have two questions for people who own it:

1-After how many hours of gaming does this become a problem?

2-Is the heat a really big problem? Does it damage the laptop/ table it's on or ever cause burn injuries? Or is it simply an inconvenience?

    I've got a QHD+ 2015 Blade.

It gets hot. Really hot. You absolutely can not rest the blade on bare skin (like if you're wearing shorts) without being extremely uncomfortable (it's not bearable as far as I'm concerned). If you're wearing jeans, it's not comfortable either but its tolerable. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in an Otterbox case (a big phone) and I rest it between my leg and the Blade, at that point the heat is tolerable. Your palm / WASD fingers do not generally get very hot. It reaches this temperature inside of the first 15 minutes gaming and sustains it until you stop gaming. Tested with GTA5 and ARK. The heat to me isn't the issue, it's the noise. The fans are irritating. It's not so much the volume as the pitch, since they are so small they make a very mid-high frequency whine. It sounds like a hair dryer. This is presumably not much different than previous blades, though - so if you're not bothered by the noises made by previous generations this is not likely to bother you on the 2015.

As for their customer service, based on my experience I wouldn't rate it very highly. I've seen zero BIOS update releases for any Razer Blade from 2013 to present, and I myself have submitted a ticket for the ridiculously high minimum brightness setting for the LCD panel only to be told that there was no plans to resolve it and there was nothing I could do. If you have any plans to operate the Blade in a darkroom or very low light environment, forget it. It's like looking into the sun.

The rightness seems to be related to drivers/Windows. I Installed Windows 10 and the lowest brightness is noticeably lower. I would still like it to be a LITTLE lower, but it is definitely lower than with Windows 8.1.
