I want one but need to know how they are compared to my Alienware m17x r4 I am going to sale. I work on the road and the Alienware is to heavy. Would the new Razor pro play Battlefield 4???
How are they on warranty help? do you have to send it in or do they send out a tech.

    Thanx

It should be able to play Battlefield at a good framerate using mid-high settings.
Recommended requirements for BF4 is Geforce 660 or anything better. The GTX 765M has 300 less cores approx and half the memory bandwidth. It should handle mid'high settings very good.

I think the laptop is some dollars above its ideal price, US$300 less would be perfect.

Thanx for the reply. I just looked up the GTX765m and it is a lot slower than my GTX680m. Bumber

I'm sure the Razer Blade Pro will play BF4 at medium-high but it won't be as powerful as your 680m. I've used their warranty service a few times and they were pretty quick. For example, there was a problem where my Blade wouldn't charge and they sent me a new charger in the mail. I believe that if something happens to your system, you would need to send it in to them for repair. It would be nice if it was like Dell and they sent a tech out to your house.

As far as price, I think it could be a few hundred dollars cheaper especially considering you can spend the same money and get a laptop with a 780m. Also, the MSI GS70 has similar specs to the Pro and is actually thinner and cheaper. I don't know if there are any issues with the MSI but it is something to look into if you are looking to get something light.

Just keep in mind that while the GTX 765m is slower than the 680m, it's also a ton better in heat/power, it's not meant for a desktop replacement or a bulky laptop but rather for a highly portable device. To be honest I looked very closely at both the MSI GS70 and the Razer Blade Pro, and I thought the MSI was a better buy, however there were two factors that made me choose a Razer Blade over the MIS GS70:

    1) Portability. 14" was more desirable to me
    2) Native Resolution, I think the sweet spot for a GTX 765M is 900p, the performance suffers a big hit when going above that, if you want to max settings that is.

The MSI is also significantly warmer does not have a full aluminum body design. The quality appears sub-par for a company that has been around as long as MSI. The ports are (opinion incoming) laid out horribly and the keyboard is a steel series keyboard (personally I hate steel series), the keyboard has large amounts of light leaking from around the keys. It is definitely a lower cost laptop but IMO it is also a lower quality laptop. Just my two cents.

I agree on everything but the Aluminum body, my friends got his today, pretty sweet lappy if you ask me, does not feel like the Razer but it's far from ugly... his has an Aluminum body just one piece of plastic, thats it.... I would not trade it for my 14 Razer though, even if his was worth more $

I could be mistaken but I was relatively sure it had an aluminum skin as opposed to a solid aluminum body.

I haven't had any experience with the technical support on my RBP but in general Razer hasn't done me wrong as far as tech support goes. If you read around the forums you will see alot of others speaking of their customer support situations. I think I have seen more good than bad but that is jut a seat of the pants feeling. Check the owners lounges you should get alot of info looking there.
