    Hello,
So here is the deal. My week old Razer Blade 14" had a power supply that made a "click click click" non stop when plugged in. I contacted support and they said it was not normal and sent me a new one. I got it today, and the new one does not do it. So all is well.

Now, here is the deal. They apparently, accidentally sent me a second power supply as well. It must be from last years Razer Blade. Here are the specs/ differences.

    Razer Blade 14": 3 Prong
    Model # RC30-0083
    AC Input: 100-240v-2A 50/60hz
    DC Output: 19V -- 7.9A
    150W

    Razer Blade R2?: 2 Prong
    Model # RC30-0071
    AC Input: 100-240v-1.5A 50/60hz
    DC Output: 19V -- 6.32A
    120W

Would it be be safe to use the older version power supply? I plugged it in briefly to see if it would work and it showed as charging. It is much slimmer, and I just wanted to keep it in my backpack for when I am on the go. So then I can leave the 3 pronged original behind my desk. Thanks.

I'm NOT an electrical genius by any means but I wouldn't use it for heavy processing gaming etc. but I wouldn't see it being a problem for charging when you get low or running small tasks.

Kind of what I was thinking. I figure I can at least use it just as a charger. Also while not gaming. (When gtx765m is not active)

The "older" supply outputs the same voltage but isn't able to supply quite the same current (6.32A vs 7.9A). This isn't going to pose a threat to your RB14 (charging may be slower), but I would check and see how warm the power supply gets (since it will likely be working closer to its max output).

You can use lower wattage power supplies with laptops, just if it doesn't supply enough it will get the extra power from the battery, or won't charge the battery. Thus it should be sufficient for word, but not bf4

Thank you for your feedback. I am not sure how I ended up getting two power supplies, one 2013 version, other 2012 version. They were both new with plastic wrap on them. It is pretty sweet though. I am going to keep the 120w one in my Slappa Matrix Backpack for on the go! :)
