    Hey everyone,

I got an internship in NYC this summer that will require me to wear a suit on a daily basis. I will also be bringing my laptop and some files to work. Since a backpack will wrinkle/mess up my suit and look awkward, I am looking for a messenger/should bag! I was wondering what sort of messenger bags would fit the Razer 14 the best??? Not really picky and would like a nice quality one (price range up to $150 or so).

Let me know what you think!
    Eric

I use a filson with a case logic neoprene sleeve and it fits fine. Could be smaller and still fit but for me it's a good size. Pretty much any messenger will work though, that's the beauty of having a thin and light :)

Would recommend getting some kind of protective sleeve though.

Just looked at Filsons website. Looks nice, however, it is pretty expensive. Any cheaper options? Would you recommend the Razer Armor sleeve that is sold on Razerzone.com for inside a messenger bag?

Razer armour sleeve - not personally used, but from what I have read people have not been impressed with it.

The case logic one that I have is pretty decent and it cost $15. For me that was the right price.

Nice! Thanks for this. I've been looking for a bag as well and this one seems perfect.. http://goincase.com/shop/incase-city-brief-13#color/14 ..it's even the same razer colors. According to the dimensions it can fit between 13 -13.75" in terms of width and the razer blade is 13.6" so I hope it fits. I ordered one off Amazon and if anyone is interested I'll let you know if the 13" bag fits. I should have it by Friday.

I know I'm a little late to the thread, but this bag is awesome:

Amazon.com: STM Flight Small Laptop Shoulder Bag, Black (dp-4006-03): Electronics

Has a padded sleeve for the laptop, as well as an additional sleave that fits most 10" tablets.

Since I'm usually running around with my laptop and at least my 7" Nexus, it's been great. Lots of pockets, and lots of room to fit cables, etc. The fact that it holds the laptop vertically also means it's easier to maneuver on the go (lots of rotating lock gates at my work).

I have ordered myself a Bungo 15" Black Leather Messenger Bag from KNOMO: Official Store | Men's Black Leather Messenger Bag | Stylish 15" Laptop Bag | Messenger Laptop Bags | Designed by KNOMO London

What I have seen in reviews and youtube clips, it looks to be of really high quality. I did like the brown version aswell, but the black version matches the Razer Blade better ;)

I don't mind spending some money for high quality bag, when I order a notebook for 3k (probably 25% swedish VAT on that).

Jesus. Not to sound cheap after throwing down 2K+ for a laptop, but I really hope that's endangered white rhino leather with a bald eagle feather interior!

Haha...that looks like a great bag though. Like I said, I spent almost 500 on a Tumi backpack and couldn't have been happier. The sturdiest, most reliable backpack I've had

lol, that's normal pricing. The under $100 bags are actually considered cheap. These are intended for professional use, not school.

Sorry, I didn't mean to be offensive. I understand that point of view, hard for me to spend that much for a bag, but I need at least one of that quality working in NYC - looks better during interviews. =]

Alright guys, I got this bag from Amazon today and I think it's great. It's not a $300 bag but for the price I think it will be well worth it. The 13" version of the bag is a snug fit but the laptop definitely won't be sliding around in the bag so I don't have to worry about it bumping into stuff. The bag itself is fairly small but will fit the charger and the Orochi mouse that Razer gave me plus possibly a few other things. It will be the perfect case/travel bag for this laptop and it looks great too! I would recommend it if you want to keep your budget lower but still have a great looking bag with a snug fit that offers plenty of cushioning. Also, what I'm referring to as a snug fit isn't based on the width of the laptop like I thought.. the length of the laptop makes it snug because of the thick cushioning in the top corners of the bag.. you kind of have to give the corners a little pull to cover over the laptop. Hope that helps.

EDIT: after traveling with the bag a good bit today, I may try the 15" version as pulling the bag over the corners of the laptop every time to close it is rather cumbersome.

[amazon promo code expired/I've removed the link]

    Brooks Slim Brief - Tumi,
    Laptop Compartment Dimensions: 9.5" x 13.75" x 1.25"
    razer 14:
    Size and Weight
    Width: 13.6” / 345mm
    Depth: 9.3" / 235mm
    Height: 0.70"/ 17.8mm
    Weight: 4.47lbs / 2.03kg
looks like a fit! but alas its nearly double the weight of the rb14. Is that what we spent all this $ and then to turn around and put it in a hefty bag? The green/orange bag IS awesome but still...
currently this is on sale(26% off) at amazon in spruce (the best combo for RB anyway (green/orange)
    http://www.amazon.com/Tumi-Alpha-Br...-1-fkmr0&keywords=tumi+alpha+bravo+brief+slim

sadly the amazon fashion 20% off promo code expired before this tumi sale...unless you were saving your code for later then the tumi and code will stack.

I would love to know if this works
Kinsale 13" Black Leather Cross Body Messenger Laptop Bag from KNOMO: Official Store | Men's Black Leather Cross Body Bag | Stylish 13" Laptop Bag | Messenger Laptop Bags | Designed by KNOMO London
    Measurements:
    Bottom Width: 14 in
    Depth: 3 in
    Height: 10 1⁄4 in
    Strap Length: 61 in
    Strap Drop: 26 3⁄4 in
    Weight: 1 lb 14 oz

    was also intrigued by this:
Muzetto Outback Waxed Canvas - Laptop Bag - Man Bag - Canvas Bag | WaterField Designs - SFBags

based upon its leather brother (note black/green option)
    http://www.gadgetmac.com/reviews/waterfield-designs-muzetto-portable-leather-bag-for-ipad-rev.html
another option might be custom request for a sleeve plus piggyback for charger
    http://www.sfbags.com/products/sleevecases/sleevecases-pc.php
my brother liked this combo on his macair awhile back.

or this leather version (frankly I think leather looks better but rain maybe better off with canvas)
    http://www.sfbags.com/products/muzetto/muzetto.php

    also to be considered:

    http://www.briggs-riley.com/category/productDetail.aspx?id=Contact-Small-Brief_VB100&col=verb
    3.3" x 14" x 9.8" / 8.4 x 35.6 x 24.9 cm
    1.9 lbs / 0.9 kg
I think this is too small upon inspection
there is a feature called "cordpass" that simply will not work with the smaller brief even if the laptop fits.
    which leads us to :
    http://www.briggs-riley.com/category/productDetail.aspx?id=Contact-Medium-Brief_VB200&sec=business
    3.8" x 16" x 10.8" / 9.7 x 40.6 x 27.4 cm

    compare to:

    15” x 10.625” x 1.625” 38cm x 27cm x 4cm
    2.5 pounds (unconfirmed)
Is there a pocket for the charger on this one?...the green highlights here may not extend as far as you think...the youtube video's suggest they are but a thin embellishment.

Man that Muzetto marketing message is gag inducing but it looks like a sweet bag. I'd get one if I didn't have to stop using messenger bags due to shoulder/back issues. I switched to a Patagonia backpack a few years ago. That combined with exercise fixed it.

If you want to carry the Blade in style, I would also recommend any product from WaterField Designs. I have their Staad Backpack for my 13" MacBook Pro and can confirm that the 14" Blade fits in the padded slot like a glove (I tried it with the 2013 model). I realize this isn't a messenger bag though.

I've also owned the Muzetto bag and it was an awesome bag too, but I prefer a more horizontal design. Their new Rough Rider bag might fit the bill.

Their products and customer service are second to none. Expensive? Yes, somewhat. But you won't need to buy another bag again...

UPDATE: Hey guys, I got the 15" version of this bag in from Amazon today. It is a much better fit and the laptop is still pretty snug so I would definitely recommend the 15" version over the 13" in case anyone is wondering. Again, it's a great bag and the colors match the razer color scheme.

Yup, and my Razer orochi mouse, phone charger, and nexus 7 tablet. All fit better than the 13" version and have some room to spare. The main compartment has a place specifically for the laptop with padding on all sides and has a divider to place other things like a tablet. The front of the bag has 2 zipper pockets where I put the charger and everything else.

i managed to try the stm flight (small) with my blade 2013, fit just nice on the width (kinda tight for my liking) but the laptop is too long, protruding out of bag if to slot into the laptop sleeve.
