Hi, as the backlight on my blade's (2014) keyboard has failed I was looking into replacing it / replacing the whole deck.

Would anyone happen to know if the decks are compatible between the 14" models, namely between 2014 and:
    - 2015? I would assume yes as it seems identical
    - 2016? since they introduced the chroma keyboard here I am not sure, the format still seems the same though
    - 2017? same as 2016 I imagine

    Thanks for your help.

    EDIT:
What about the different screen models? There seem to be 3 versions in play across the 2014-2017 lineup:
    - IPS 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) from 2016-2017
    - IGZO 3200 x 1800 (QHD+) from 2014-2016
    - IGZO 3840 x 2160 (4K) from 2017
Would these be interchangeable, e.g. swapping in the QHD+ LCD into a 2017 blade?

Just in case anyone knows something about this topic: I'd also like to know if and how I could change the keyboar language.

I mean, I'm okay buying keycaps, but how would I tell the firmware that the keybioard is now, for example. UK layout?

If you set a different laguage on Windows, Synapse still adds the """real""" layout to the list.

    Thanks.

I don't really use synapse so I can't help you there unfortunately, but if you can live without it I can confirm that the windows settings do work (at least on my 2014 model). And make sure to "override the default input method" in advanced keyboard settings.
Alternatively, you could go the advanced route and remap any keys you want using macros/some scripting (for example using autohotkey).
