@Natadiem how did you use a different shipping and billing address on the store page so your order was accepted?

Nice I will try that... I have some parents that live in the US... I have been talking to CS about different addresses and they couldn't either understand my question or they are just joking around. .. thanks for your info... now I know I can have a different billing address. .. btw I thought the country field only let us pick USA or Canada? Can you clarify that for me.

Hey Yea I heard of myus before. I might use it. Do you have to pay any VAT when it enters the UK? And also when did you order your blade ?

I used BundleBox with the 2013 model and shipped just fine to the UK. Also, when purchased, I used an UK debit card with UK billing address and it was fine.

@b0gd4n how did you use a foreigner billing address if the only two options on the checkout page are US and Canada. Cheers

I did as Natadiem, and created myself a myus.com account.

As billing and shipping address I used my new myus.com address.

As payment option I choose wired transfer.
You get a email with detailed information on how to complete the wire transfer, it is a bit more cumbersome than using a credit card as I need to go into my local bank to complete the purchase but it seemed to work. I got a order number, and no complaints.

After I have completed the wire-transfer and got confirmation back from Razer, I can update this thread if it went ok if you want.

I ordered the 512 gig model, estimated shipdate was 23rd of may.. gonna be a long wait :)

    Btw, I live in Sweden.

I think you have to pay VAT no? Which is gonna add a lot more to the cost of the laptop

In case it helps. I am using shipito.com, they have pretty good reviews and they have a warehouse in Oregon where you do not have to pay any sort of VAT. My Blade will be shipped to Switzerland.

Sunny304 are you sure about that ? What price did you pay ? And you won't have to pay vat because it's from Oregon or because you live in Switzerland ?

How you managed to get billing address from Oregon ? O_O
And you will still pay VAT then the item gets to Switzerland customs or am I wrong ?
And I think you must have filled declaration form for it like they say in their web page did you lie in it or you putted right numbers ?

And could you tell me the price you payed just for shipping costs ?

Thank you for your time to answer my questions ! You help a lot :)

Hey sorry, didn't pay attention to this thread. Well at the end I just paid the exact sum of the Blade including the other stuff I added to it.

I will still have to Import VAT in Switzerland. It is 8% here and in the rest of the EU it should be 20%. With shipito you need to declare the worth of the items you ordered so at the end of the day you have to pay for the import tax. It is also possible to calculate the shipping cost here: Shipito Shipping Calculator.

Also this might help to clear things up: Shipito Locations | USA Address & Mail Forwarding – Shipito.com

you're right. I just checked the invoice and as the billing address I used the BundleBox address. I had no issues with this.

    yup.

I bought the 512mb version of the first Blade 14. In pounds that ended up being £1504.97.

BundleBox charged me beforehand for the postage and the taxes £378.20. The postage was £46.32 (including a £9.82 discount I got when I registered for a BundleBox account) and the rest taxes and VAT.

I ended up paying £1883.17 for my pretty little laptop. This is a lot but still a hell of a lot cheaper than a fully speced macbook pro at £2,799.00 (which is still much much lowered speced compared to the Blade)!

The weight/dimensions are not the big factors here. They will influence the cost, but not much, as you can see they only charged £46.32 for shipment and handling. The rest is the VAT and taxes.

I wish I lived in Switzerland for those 8% taxes! :(

The living cost here is really high and I have to pay import tax if I order anything from outside of Switzerland. But I live close to the border to France and there are barely any customs there so that is not bad.

That's interesting. Is that something you can do anywhere with your card? I find that when ordering anything online, the billing address must match my card address exactly or it will be declined.

I can't say for sure as I did not encounter another situation where I would want to specify a different address other than of my billing address. However, on the Razer website, an year ago, it worked just fine.

I checked my online statement right after the order was confirmed, and there was a hold placed on the right amount of money. After the dispatch, the money we're cleared and we're taken out of my account.

Folks from the UK if you search Amazon you'll see that HIDEvolution have an account and are serving pre-orders for the 256 and 512 versions of the new Blade. Apparently they include all import taxes in the single purchase price and the package is marked duties paid therefore there is no need to pay extra when the laptop arrives at our shores. They have a UK number: 02033183302. I'm not sure how they ship, I'm going to ring up and see if they can do me a 128 version with Fedex, DHL or UPS shipping.

    do let us know

    EDIT:

I searched hidevolution and found the new blade for pre-order http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B00JGNUPF2/ref=dp_olp_new_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=new
But what the hell is that price ?!?!?!? They have it at about £2,500 with shipping, which is £500 more than if you would do it yourself with BundleBox.

I just ran the BundleBox calculator, and for the 512gb version (the same as the Amazon one) including postage and all the taxes, it ended up at around £2010.

So, what the hell is the extra £500 for????

EDIT 2: BTW, this is about £200 more expensive than when I bought it last year...hmmm...wonder what price it will be next year...
