    Hey there guys!

So, as we all know, the Blade 14 only has an HDMI output. I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations on an HDMI to DisplayPort adapter - my monitor only has DisplayPort on it (yeah, the ROG Swift).

My desktop is out of commission for the moment, I was wondering if anyone has hooked up the Blade to DP.

    Anyway, thanks for any input!

It wouldn't work for what you want anyway. HDMI is limited to 1080p @ 60hz. It's one of the downfalls of this rig. Why they didn't include an onboard mini-DP is mind boggling to say the least.

Wow. I just checked the specs again and it is "HDMI 1.4a audio and video output" I swear when I read it earlier it said 1.3

Unfortunately you don't get 1080p120 since that wasn't introduced until 1.4b =/ you would be limited to 1080p60 :(

Still, it would be somewhat better than hunching over the screen, even if there's some interpolation.

In any sense, I seemed to remember that this type of converter needs some kind of active processing on the signal, so it's not a simple cable, but a little box. Something like this: HDMI to DisplayPort Converter - Full HD | 1920x1200 | StarTech.com

Anyway, I'll live for a few days while the H100i RMA comes back.
