So, I was just lucky enough to find an identical LiteOnit 256m6m matching mSata SSD for my Blade 14". Best part about it? I was able to talk the guy down to $160.00! That is truly amazing! So it should be here in a week or so I would assume. (Coming from Canada) He said he ships it so that it won't attract any taxes or customs fee's as well.

I will update with my findings once I get it! Gonna run a few disk benches of before and afters and such.

One thing I am wondering, any certain steps I have to take to boot this thing from a USB? I have a Mushking 64gb flash drive that I have already made a recovery drive with.

    UPDATE:

Well I ran into a problem. I was able to create the RAID 0 drive in the BIOS. Striping setup, etc. Now, my Razer Blade flat out refuses to boot from a my USB Recovery drive that I had made. I have tried everything.

Try e-mailing hidevolution, they customize razer blade 14`s and offer raid 0, maybe they can help you out?

For me it was fairly simple. Had to go into the bios and enable it raid. Restart and go back into the bios and create a raid array 2 - 256gb ssds into raid 0 =512 reboot and a fresh install of windows. Good to go. I had my own copy of win8 so im not sure if using the razer restore will work. ( the usb version they send you ) When creating an raid array you basically wipe both drives so be careful you back up first.

Raid 1Tb drives would be really nice, so much money though. I'm trying to wait until they come down in price some more.

I have the 512 blade. I am not too sure if I would really spend the money on another 512, as I don't really know if the extra speed if worth the money.

I'm more interested in the space than speed I guess. I may not even RAID them. 1TB for OS and games and 1TB for data/media.

yes to be honest its a nice speed boost but in reality ssds are generally fast enough as it is. Overkill ? maybe but considering the sizes of ssds space is probably the priority for a lot of people. Could do 2 ssds separate drives. Os drive / Storage drive and in the event you have to re-install - restore your data is safe on the 2nd drive.

That's what I'm thinking now. I have to admit I've had RAID0 issues in the past and always had to wipe the entire array and start over. With split drives it makes reinstall less painful, and even could do RAID1 if you wanted to.
