Anyone know of a comfortable, quality headset that would go well with the RB 14"? I like the Razer Carcharias but since it has separate jacks for the audio and the mic it wouldn't work on the RB 14". Any suggestions for another headset?

EDIT : Just found out there's a new Razer Carcharias with USB connection o_o Hmm. Still open to suggestions though in case there's a better alternative.

There's an adapter you can get to combine both audio jacks into one. As far as headsets, you should check out the Sennheiser PC360. It's kind of pricey but it's one of the best gaming headsets out there. It is an open headset though which means that everyone around you will hear what you are listening to. If you are looking for a Razer branded headset, you can check out the Kraken Pro. I personally have not used the Kraken but they have some pretty good reviews.

Definitely the Kraken, hands down. I have one and absolutely love it. It's really comfortable and has great sound quality, in my opinion. Black one matches the Blade series pretty much too :)

The Pro has a really convenient retractable mic that fits into one of the ear cups.

You can also check out the Razer Electra. It's really comfortable as well, but personally found that it didn't fit my ear and head as well as the Kraken. The Electra mic is also an inline mic and not a retractable one (that pulls out right to the front of my mouth).

I purchased the Kraken Pro in black as well. This is a very good headset for the price and the mic is convenient as well. I also own a G930 but didn't want to take up a usb port when there is a perfectly good analog port available. Plus no having to add extra software to my Blade was a plus.

How do you run it with only one Audio/Mic port?

This is one of the main reasons that I chose the Kraken Pro. The Blade audio port is a combo audio/mic port similar to Macbooks and Cell Phones. The Kraken has two options the main connector is a combo audio/mic connector, and then it comes with a splitter that you can use if you would like to use the head set with the traditional separate mic and audio jacks found on PC's.

Damn, thats nice to have. Really makes me want them. Now its gonna be hard, I can get the PC333s from my work for the same price as the Kraken Pros :S. And I think the PC333s are a cut above.

Yup, this. I was so happy that the Blades had a combo port and I could finally stop using the audio splitter. Definitely very convenient.

Yes there are adapters that will allow you go from the two discrete male connectors to one combo male connector. I would search Amazon. Im sure that you will find one there.

Yup, a two male one female audio adapter should be easy to find. Razer seems to have them included in their Kraken Pro and Hammerhead Pro though!

I'm wondering if they have one that goes the opposite way. Like, if I wanted to plug my PC headphones with 2 ports into their 1 port jack :p

Oh! Yeah that was actually much easier to find, in my experience. I went to a couple of electronic shops here and they only had the two female one male version, I actually had to order my first two male one female splitter online. Lol.

    Combo Jack Splitter
    Split Jacks To Combo
There may be better price options out there as well that is just a quick look.
Why go with the Kraken Pro over the Kraken 7.1 though? Not much difference in price and it "should" be a major upgrade in sound, shouldn't it?

From what I understand, the 7.1 version is USB only. That means you would only be able to use them on your computer. If you buy the analog version, you can use them on anything such as a mp3 player. Also, Razer's surround sound software is free and it probably isn't too much different from the software that comes with the 7.1 Kraken.

Another thing to consider is the bulk. You have the world's thinnest gaming laptop. Is it OK to lug around a headset that is several times bulkier? ;)

Good point I hadn't considered the use with other products as that wouldn't be my preference due to the bulk, but I can see how others could find that important.

Has anyone tried the Sennheiser PC 363D? They have a 2x3.5 mm jacks but I'm sure they can use an adaptor... just curious as these headsets would be the pinnacle of sound for Razer Blade.
