Yes, mine does that but barely notice it unless I have my ear next to it.

Mine was worse yet. When I first plugged it in it was making it slight clicking noise. I thought to myself, oh great, the Blade is perfectly functional and I get to return it for a damn power brick issue. I unplugged it for a couple mins and it hasn't done it since.

I just put my ear to mine. It is whining. But if mine is as well as yours and Xeneize, it must be normal?

Mine definitely whines, and makes clicking noises. Razer was able to replicate the issue and they're sending me another replacement. I suspect they all just make noise... Seems crazy that they didn't notice this.

    Mine too, RBP here.

So it seems to be the case for everyone. When you are in a desk and the brick is on the floor (tipically below de desk), the sound is unnoticeable. But if you leave the brick on top of the desk then it is.

Can't even notice mine on the desk 12 inches away, I literally have to get my ear to about 6" from it to hear it and even then it's faint

Mine is loud, almost like its a cricket mating season...lol I wonder if Razer will send me a new one and just return the old one. It seems as if the buzzing will go through to the laptop. Almost as if it is resonating. I took the charger and ran it under a door so its in a different room, and I can hear the buzzing in the laptop. Unplug it and its gone. I have tried multiple different outlets, and surge protectors. Coming from a electronics technician background, it is definitely a grounding issue with the adapter.

Ouch, i was ok with it thinking it would have no negative effect. Knowing this i am *slightly* concerned.

It's not dangerous, just a major annoyance. It's kinda like buying a cheap aux cable and plugging you phone charger and aux in at the same time noise. Wouldn't care if it was a cheap powerhouse laptop, but this is a 2k laptop.

I wonder if this is related to the static noise when using headphones.

Tried and the static is still there, just lower. So the brick problem does not affect the static. But could it be the other way around? I mean static on the aluminium chasis making the power brick to buzz? I guess one person with no static problem but with the brick buzz is enough to answer it.

It's definitely an insulation problem. If it's because of the smaller brick then I rather have a larger brick and no noise. All electronics have a whine but its insulated to mask it. ie if you look at transformers on power lines you can hear the hiss. But like I said 2k laptop should have some better build quality. I will be making another phone call in a bit to razer to get a fix.

Completely agree on that. Would be very useful if you can update us whenever you get a new power brick in order to see if it is worth getting another one.

    *LOOK*

So I just got off the phone with Razer Blade support. The electronic noise omitting from the power supply is normal behavior, as well as any omitting from the laptop itself. However, my power supply is also making a repeated clicking sound. This is not normal, and they are shipping me a replacement FedEx 2day! I then have to ship the defective supply back with the provided return label. So pretty convenient if you ask me! Much better than returning my whole laptop to Newegg I know that.

So if you are only hearing the electronic noise, "whining", etc, it is pointless for you to replace it. I guess that is normal and they all do that. Any clicking or popping is not normal though, so get that replaced if needed.

Also, I will update info on my replacement. Just to verify that the "whining" is normal, which I am sure it is due to everyone on this thread is experiencing the same thing.

So I managed to call Razer, and they immediately decided to give me a new power adapter no questions asked. Maybe they are realizing they are faulty.

So I got the replacement power supply today. Still makes the whining noise, but does not make the repeated clicking noise like my original one did. Win Win I guess.

My original power adapter one made the clicking noise too. After reading this post I also request Razer for RMA of the power adapter. They are nice and process this without questions. Honestly, I think it is normal for the power adapter to have the noise as long as it work though at the price of 2000$, no one want to experience this. From what I gather from this thread, it seem this is common and normal. However, I still request RMA anyway because the razer representative said buzzing and whining (electrical noise) is ok, but not the clicking

Got the new adapter in today! Stress tested it on the FFIV benchmarks for about 15 mins and watched 20 mins of youtube videos, no noise other then that right fan whirling up a little.

ok guys, so I received the replacement power adapter today and they sent me the wrong 120W one too. They sent me another one yesterday, 150W. They also told me that now from this point they out of stock for the 150W, the representative told me that the system should run just fine on this replacement, though they realized their mistake and sent me the correct one yesterday. My thought is I'm not sure if the clicking noise is normal or not. See guys, the system run just fine on it and if there are 2,3 people got that in this thread, I don't think it is something to worry about, isn't it? I'm saying this because I don't know if my replacement will fix this and I don't want to get grumpy for something that is not worth worrying about
