    Hi guys:

I pulled the trigger and bought a 512 gb razer blade pro 2014. it's currently back ordered and not sure when it'll be actually delivered.

question for current owners- would you think 256 gb be sufficient? there are plenty of places where I can buy the 256 and get it sooner. thanks your help.

You should be able to answer that on your own. Nobody knows how much storage you need. I was able to squeak by a 64gb crucial m4 ssd in 2011 and then 120gb then now 256gb. I would say the sweet spot is 120-128gb for a lot of software/apps and 256gb is plenty. Use External Portable usb 3.0 drives for your photo, video and for your pr0n collection

If you are getting the pro your upgrade options are much easier, so I would be more comfortable getting the smaller drive personally.

As benchmade has said only you know what kind of a data horder you are, and therefore what capacity you need.

Games these days are getting up to 20-30GB in size so if it were me, I would go for the largest amount of space that I can afford.

If you're tech savvy, there's room in the 2014 Blade Pro for a 2.5" drive. As the poster above me suggested, games are starting to get larger in file sizes. . but how many different games are you honestly planning to play in a single week? File storage is easily accommodated by an external drive or even a thumb drive [I picked up a PNY 128 Gb for about $50 not too long ago] Between that and OneDrive/dropbox/Google music, 256Gb is actually quite a bit of storage.

Ultimately, the choice is yours, and you know your required mandatory installed library better than anyone. Me, personally. . . I haven't even used half the drive yet...
