    Hi guys,
I'm new here and do have some questions regarding Razer Blade.
I'm planning to buy a 2014/2015 Razer Blade, but the concern is that this laptop only has 1 HDMI output.
I'm currently using Alienware M14x R2, and suffered a lot when trying to use HDMI to connect it to my monitor (HP envy-32, 2560*1440 res.). It turns out I can only use the mini-DP to DP cable to connect it.
So here's the problem: can Razor Blade be connected to a monitor with resolution of 2560*1440 through HDMI? I search quite a bit and it seems confusing.. Has anybody actually tried this?

    Nope, 1920x1200 is the max.

So both for QHD+ and 1080 version?
That is pretty weird.. I thought people tends to use monitor rather than the laptop itself when playing at home..
So there's no solution to this?
I actually saw some thread talkin about 4k display here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...014-and-4k-display-results-and-review.753327/
I thought he's using Razer Blade and connect it to 4k display..

...Wrong thread? You weren't replying to anyone and that statement alone made no sense.

The 1440p resolution doesn't look to be supported, it's not officially listed as supported oh HDMI 1.4a

In any case. Your monitor needs to support HDMI 1.4a

Yes 4K is supported @ 30hz over HDMI 1.4a. Most monitors don't support anything higher than 1.3 anyway however. You can get 1080p @ 120hz over HDMI though, again monitor needs to support the HDMI spec.

Of course it makes no sense when you take it out of context like that. I was replying to the OP when he asked if 1920x1200 is the max for both QHD+ and 1080p Blade SKUs and I said that, yes, it is the max that is officially supported/guaranteed to work.

You weren't directly quoting anything so it made it hard to read what you were specifically stating. In any case, that's not true. HDMI 1.4a supports more than 1920x1080 at a loss of frame rate as long as the monitor supports it per my previous post.

I assumed that OP wants 60Hz or something close to it.

Why? Aren't we all supposed to game at 24hz for a cinematic experience?
