Hey everyone. I'm possibly looking to buy a FHD Razer Blade or a MacBook Pro. The Blade is obviously faster. But I want to know some other things.

How is the trackpad Less importantly, the keyboard? I don't want to sacrifice the ease of use that makes the Macs so famous.

Since I want the FHD version, I'll have to buy from the Razer Store, right? How are their warranties? RMAs? If it breaks 2 years down the road, will it be an easy process to get it replaced? Apple Care makes buying a 2k laptop a whole lot less risky, and with this much money, I don't want risks.

Lastly, how do the gamer aesthetics come off in person? Is the glowing logo obnoxious? Is it not so pronounced? Would I feel odd taking it out in front of professors or in semi-professional settings?

I really like the specifications of the Blade, but these questions are pressing when the majority of the use of the laptop won't be for gaming. I just would like to be able to game on the go, but if that comes with too many sacrifices, I'll have to give it up.

    I have both.

Track pad is the best you will find on a windows notebook outside of Apple's pad. I love the keyboard though I sometimes try to hit "command" to cut and paste instead of control. But that's just me constantly using both notebooks for different reasons.

I can't comment on support, the normal warranty is only a year, v you can buy an extended one. Check their site or ask support what it covers and how you would get a repair. I would imagine just like Apple you aren't getting a replacement unit unless it's a last resort. My wife had her older MacBook repaired under apple care 4 times and they replaced the entire logic board the 4th time (it was the charm). So not even 4 strikes was good enough for Apple to replace it outright.

Aside from the logo on the lid that lights up green, it's extremely understated. It basically looks like a black MacBook with green keyboard lighting and a green Razer logo on the lid. Not unprofessional at all unless it's the most conservative of environments. And even then maybe not. It's probably easy to cover up if necessary.

I love mine. I know it's not for everyone, but I'm extremely happy with it.

Trackpad and keyboard are similarly good.
Apple support is much superior to Razer's and Razer's warranty extension is quite pricy. I'd have recommended MS support if you didn't have to buy from the Razer Store.
It is not obnoxious at all unless you hate green or believe that snakes are a lot worse than apples, other than that it's quite understated.

So is buying from a retail MS Store a better option? What are their RMA policies like?

Check out my review (Link in my signature). The two are nothing alike, but where they are the same is in quality. They both pay great attention and detail to the little things that we forget about, that truly makes the laptop better.
