Hey guys - so Civ 5 is able to run fine at native res, although the text is insanely small. However, when trying to play at a smaller resolution to make this more reasonable, the game is centered in the middle of the screen with black borders and refuses to go full screen. I have tried to lower my system resolution before starting the game, both using the windows settings and the Intel control panel; however, once I am in the game it immediately seems to revert back to native and the game is still stuck in the middle with a black border.

This used to work fine by adjusting the windows resolution before launching the game, but I have not played in several weeks, and since that time I know there has been a GPU driver update that I am assuming is messing with this. Has anyone managed to run Civ 5 at a resolution lower than native (e.g. 1080p) and able to play fullscreen? Thanks

I;m having the same issue (though I was never able to play it at native res). Gonna try some things when I get home to see if anything works. Kinda of a bummer that scaling issues are all over the place with some games.

Yeah.. Civ V is a mess, with the most up to date drivers anyway.. (nVidia 337.88 and the May 2014 driver that came through Windows Update for the 4600).

I don't know if Civ has this setting but a couple of other games I had the same issue and I changed it to Windowed-Fullscreen and it work perfectly.
