Where is the cheapest place to buy a razer blade at the moment? I guess I missed the student deal from the Microsoft store for 10% off, I see that the 256GB version is discounted at the moment but they charge $150 in sales tax for where I live so it ends up being a wash with anywhere that doesn't charge sales tax.

    Anywhere you guys have found?

Ebay if you're willing to lose the warranty. Sometimes there are refurbs for a lot cheaper that come with some kind of warranty from the seller though. Otherwise, just one of the usual authorized retailers would be best.

ordered from Microsoft Store, it ended up being about $80 less than retail with the student discount even with sales tax.

It's still available. Microsoft Store - EDU Portal

Go through Fatwallet for 4% cashback, get another 1% cashback from your credit card, etc etc.

Ya that seller has jacked up the prices 3 times now. It went from 1199 to 1499 to 1799 now.

I am looking at buying from that seller. How was it dealing with them? Did it come with the original box and inserts? Good condition? Ship quick and well?

    Thanks

It arrived in the original box and was in brand new condition. The box was not taped so someone could have opened it and took it out though. Shipping was about 3-4 days but that's because I paid for quicker shipping.

I received mine from the ebay seller as well for 1199. The laptop came in the original packaging. It was taped and not opened. Laptop honestly looked brand new without any issues so far. Battery had 0 percent wear and it seemed like it was set to factory settings. (I had to enter the W8.1 Key from the bottom of the laptop)

The new listing maybe the one I returned. It had two specks of dust under the screen in the upper right, otherwise it was physically fine. The only other issue was that there wasn't a restore partition so I couldn't do a reset.

Doesn't matter if the sale ended. I bought my 256gb Razer Blade at the Microsoft store for $1,955 even after the sale had ended.

It was supposed to be $100 off for being a student and 10% off for being close to my graduation date. Instead because the 10%-off sale was over and I went there in person and asked really nicely (seriously, that's all I did), they gave me the 'family and friends' discount of 15% off. (2400 - 100) * 0.85 = $1955, I was stoked!

Seriously, go into a Microsoft store and just ask them really nicely. They are trained to have extraordinary customer service and will work with you beyond your expectations to sell you a Windows computer.

maybe cause they saw in you a poor person looking for all the discounts you can have, so you could buy something and then brag in forums, like what you are doing here, cheap kid...
