    Gen 2 17inch Razer Blade

Plugged the charger into a Belkin surge strip this morning at work and the charging brick blew up in my hands. There was a loud pop, puff of smoke, sparks, and the smell of burnt electronics. I quickly dropped it onto my desk...luckily the other end was not plugged into the laptop. My left hand feels kinda tingly (I was holding the brick with my left hand) but otherwise I don't think I've been electrocuted (too much(?)).

There does not seem to be any physical damage, but I am reluctant to plug it back in and try it on my laptop...

This is actually a replacement charger. The original charger was replaced through Razer because it made a loud buzzing noise when plugged in.

I am probably out of warranty by now...

That's interesting, I'd definitely let them know about that, it doesn't sound like you called them I would have done that first instead of posting here. :)

Companies usually take exploding chargers very seriously. Give them a call and see what they say. I wouldn't be surprised if they replaced the charger for free even if your warranty is up.

Agreed. They will probably replace it.
