I do wonder if they will keep the MX150/250 or just slap a decent GPU in there like the 1650 Max-Q, because the Iris Pro in the 1065G7 is very close to the MX150 performance.

If the Ice Lake chip has better thermal headroom in practice, then it certainly seems possible (1050/1650 MaxQ). MSI seems to have been able to do so with the PS42 and its successor.

However, since Intel was showing it off at an event, it may be IGP only.

Either way, I hope for better battery life.

Also, from early indications, it appears closer to 10W MX150 performance, and not 25W MX150 (as Razer and MSI use).

EDIT: Also hope for Adaptive Sync support, since Ice Lake is supposed to bring it. C'mon, AMD powered Thinkpads already have Freesync with their built in panels...

1650 in black, Intel only in white. Not long time ago I would kill to have a 13 inch with such GPU, but will wait until reviews show up, I'm a little skeptical about its thermal performance. Looks like the Intel only model also has two fans, that could be a better choice.

Looks like another 0.5mm added to height, so is it taller feet or is the chassis itself thicker?

Ice Lake is nice, as is the GTX1650! :D

Looks like a battery bump is out of the question, though we have yet to see if Ice Lake improves power any.

I also wonder if Ice Lake improves TB3's hit-or-miss device detection (at least on my laptops; desktops are fine).

They increased the price though, and here in EU it’ll be crazy expensive :D

Unless I need super portability I would go with new base15 with better cpu and gpu for 200 bucks cheaper if I’ve to choose between those two.

I wonder if they're going to discontinue the 144Hz/2060 Base because it was eating too much into Advanced sales.

I think they’ll continue base 2060 because it’s the only option for having 2060 on mid 2019 model with new 9750H.

I hope the current MX250 model's price will go down a little bit further because of this.

Can’t agree more, base 2016 stealth v2 model with new kabylake at that time was under $999 when I’m not wrong, bought refurbished in EU under 1K several months later.
Model that now available is MX150, it’s already on sale for quite long in EU not so great like in US though.

I wonder, is it the Max-Q or Max-P version of the GTX1650? Notebookcheck claims it to be the 35W Max-Q, but Razer and other outlets indicate it to be a 50W Max-P version. I wonder if one can play games on the new RBS without draining the Battery while plugged in, since the "old" MX150 models appeared to do so for some users.

On IFA Berlin review unit it’s confirmed maxq version, but gtx version comes with 100 watt ac adapter, I don’t think even full 50 watt plus cpu need more than 100 watt.

That’s pretty good , so you’d be able to play most games decently on high settings or even dial back the resolution to 720P ( which I think would look great on a 13” screen ) and get around 60FPS.
Only big question we got now is how it handles thermals and fan noise .
I’m guessing they are using the same screen as last gen.

Should be $300-$400 cheaper, looks great but far too expensive.
If it had the 1660 ti MQ it would be just about perfect.

Products are generally a few hundred $ more than what you'd like to pay, it is quite normal pricing strategy I reckon on the premium end. They don't want it to be an instant buy (which it probably would be if it was $300-400 cheaper) as it is an indication of losing out on margin.

The GTX 1660 TI Max-Q is a no go, we are talking about going from a 35W GPU to a 60W GPU. It is already insane to have a 35W GPU in a 13" ultra-thin, but 60W wouldn't even be feasible.

For comparison, the MX series were 10W-25W.

I got a new stealth with 1650 and was not impressed, GPU temps just under fire strike was 88c.

Also for me the keyboard is just too shallow, but other than that, screen looked great, fan noise was not bad, wifi was excellent.

Just ordered the new 15 studio so lets see how it is?

Does the new Stealth also use a vapor chamber for cooling?
What were you not impressed with performance? Temps?
Most GPU throttle limits are 87c I believe so maybe you were thermally throttling.
How were CPU temps and did you see those high GPU temps when gaming?

Cpu hit 90c during fire strike. Honestly, it was the keyboard and heat just from running benchmarks the palm rest were already above warm, It was just not for me.

I could have repasted like I always do, but I just did not even feel like wasting my time on something I felt I would not enjoy.

I have one on the way. I should have it before the end of the month, estimating a full review done by November 9th at the latest.
I’m gonna TRY to get a 2080 Ti and 1080 Ti to get some thunderbolt eGPU numbers as well.

Can you run Firestrike only on Iris Pro, by disabling gtx1650, thinking about exchanging my 2017 gunmetal with base 2019 mercury, quite bored with dark laptops.
And does the cpu pull 25 watt tdp on max load? You can check by using HWinfo64 sensor or Intel xtu etc.

Mine has good quality. USB-C ports all work although they're still a little bit loose (I think my MBP was the same, so whatever). My touchpad is a little sticky out of the box, but I can live with it for now since Amazon has no stock for an exchange (they listed it on Amazon Canada using the American pricing so I got it for $1799 CAD instead of $2399 CAD).

Prime95 has it pulling 40W for about 5 seconds before dropping down to 15W stable at around 1.6-1.7GHz across all cores. Fans still barely inaudible.

Don't see a reason to do a Firestrike on the iGPU when the Mercury model is 25W and different.

My hands are on the smaller side. Not super small, but not huge shovels either. I do play guitar so I have some dexterity in my fingers. But in general it just needs to become muscle memory.

@bernieyee @Darkhan any issues on unreal engine 4 titles like pubg, gears5, borderlands 3, Call of Cthulhu, Observer, Breathedge etc?
According to notebookcheck review, there’s empty slot for gpu ram. I’m noob on this area and think it’s not possible upgrade on such laptop, and need solder job, am I right? Maybe @Papusan, i know you hate this joke kind of book :D, if there’s any hardware tweak can be done on such? Anything but not not to buying it :D, i want something on mercury color. Not a big deal to me though since I don’t really care about any gpu performance under 1070maxq, but it’ll be nice to know a possibility.

Can't answer that for you. I play mostly Source engine titles (DOTA2/Apex Legends) and FFXIV. All the games run fine on the computer.

Games all feel choppy even at 60Hz though. Not sure if I'm just used to 144Hz on my desktop.

To the owners of this laptop, I just want to confirm if the battery life of the Razer Blade Stealth is really 5-6 hours only? Would it improves when the gtx 1650 max q is disabled?
