    So iv been looking for a proper place to post this and it seems notebook review has the most amount of vocal razor owners.

    How many of you are getting windows *low on memory error* issues?

    Iv gone threw 4 units already *on my 5th* because all the past units had similar problems. After doing hardware testing vigorously i learned that its not the RAM that's having issues, but the video card Vram.

    I ran evgas OC scanner utility that reviled that the video card was in fact defective*

    * evgas oc scanner is a up to date utility created by http://www.ocbase.com/*

    you can get the utility free by EVGA or download the ocbase utility.

    Can anyone else verify that they have bad vram when they get low memory errors put out by windows?

    --------updated--------

    You want to run is the memory load test, you will know right away weather or not your having vram issues.

    If using EVGA utility select Furry E (GPU memory burner::3072) and select the 1080P preset. then start the burn in test.

    You will notice right away the program crashing and causing windows to throw the *low memory* error. Run this test a few times.

    I haven't run the test yet but I will check it out tonight., I will say that the "refurbished" Blade that I received last week has had a couple of these messages pop up. When I play Bioshock, the message pops up and boots me back to the desktop. If I cancel the message, I can just go back to the game and it works fine. It's happened 2-3 times now since Wednesday.

    I thought this went completely away by changing your desktop resolution to the resolution of the game you're playing? I never had it popup once on my blade after I learned that.

    Not that it is a great solution, I hated having to change my desktop resolution all the time but it did work. I thought it was a known Intel or Windows issue (depending on who is actually at fault). There are tons of people complaining about it online on many different computers and the only solution I was aware of was to make the resolutions match.

    Unless this is a new unrelated issue I was unaware of?

    i was asked to preform the same steps by changing desktop resolution to the resolution you play in. however doing this i still got low memory errors.

    Thats why im curious to know how many people have verified the vram being good or bad, and its incredibly hard to determine because of the lack of tools out there.

    IF you do have a blade would you mind running EVGAs OC scanner x tool and verifiying your ram is good?

    I think the same problem sometimes happened to me too (2013 Blade - on 1080p screen). FYI, I personnaly disabled (in the Registry) this particular Windows message so that it doesn't bother me anymore. I guess it's kinda risky the day there really is a memory problem but since it had never been the case...

    Maybe it's not the same kind of error since you're talking about Vram and the 2014 Blade but it might help.

    Here's how to do so :

    Start regedit and position yourself to this key :

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\WDI\DiagnosticModules
    Export (for backup) and then delete the following sub-keys :

    {45DE1EA9-10BC-4f96-9B21-4B6B83DBF476}
    {5EE64AFB-398D-4edb-AF71-3B830219ABF7}
    {C0F51D84-11B9-4e74-B083-99F11BA2DB0A}
    Now reboot.

    I've been searching for this problem for my Razer Blade (2013). I came across your thread when reading all the other threads and I've actually fixed my problem. The Killer Wireless Manager apparently eats up the virtual and physical memory by using the "Bandwidth Control". Whether this was a memory leak or how the application sticks to every other running process, disabling it solved my problem. My laptop used to idle at 55% RAM usage, now it idles @ 23-26%.

    I hope this will solve your problem. It's NOT my own solution. You can read more about it here.

    For more solutions, check this post.

    Cheers!

    perfect, I will try that!

    I replaced the n wireless with the intel ac one and have no killer software running and still get the error.

    I just started seeing the problem for the first time. Last night Fallout: New Vegas.. and today Talisman: Digital Edition crashed hard with memory problems, though I think that may have been Talisman, not this issue.

    I haven't gotten a single one since I did this. Thanks a lot. I knew that this could be done I just never found the correct registry entries to delete until now.

    I've had the same issue on my Blade 2014, my W230ST, my nephew's Envy 15t that I had for a couple of weeks, and (I think) my Surface Pro 2.

    Every time the issue is 100% reproducible when you run a game in fullscreen in any resolution different from your desktop. Every time the issue is 100% gone when the desktop resolution is the same. I currently run my Blade connected to an external 1080p monitor, so desktop = fullscreen games = 1080p. I haven't seen the low memory message in months.

    This is likely a software issue that's connected to intel hd graphics drivers compatibility with Windows 8.1 (the only two things the 4 laptops have in common, intel hd and 8.1). I suspect the EVGA test just causes the issue to appear faster by stressing the problematic area (e.g. multiple memory re-allocations to do the writes/reads), and the result has nothing to do with "defective memory".

    The ones that are experiencing this issue are using a different game and desktop resolution? With the Blade I have not had this yet, although I have not gamed on it a lot yet, plus I am usind the desktop at 900p so as the games I play. I will further investigate the memory issue with the EVGA later on.
    I had that on my previous notebook (a Clevo one) only when the game was not at the same resolution of the desktop.

    You need to modify the permissions so your user account can delete them, I had the same issue.

    Right click on the key and select: Permissions, Advanced, and at the top where it says "Owner" click Change and type your user account in to change the owner to you (I changed it to Administrators so I didn't have to add myself in again later). Then click Apply and Ok. Highlight Administrators and then tick the checkbox under the Allow column for Full Control (or if you used your user account as the owner, add yourself in there). Click ok and you will be able to delete the key. You'll need to do this for each key.
