    Blade 15 Base Model 2018 Wifi Card Upgrade Issue

    Hi,

    I recently got myself a new Wifi 6 router, and so attempted to upgrade my Razer Blade 15 base model 2018 (RZ09-02705, 1060 Max Q) to an Intel AX200NGW Wifi card. I checked a few videos and forum posts, the process looked simple enough so I first downloaded the latest intel wireless drivers, powered down my laptop, replaced the card and powered it back on. I had nothing showing in device manager so I installed the new drivers and restarted. Still nothing. Tried getting rid of the old device in device manager, deleting the old drivers and reseating the card. At this point the googling was getting pretty esoteric so I decided to revert to the old card. Also not found, even when I reverted to the old drivers. Did some more digging, and found an Intel forum post ( Intel Link) and a Killer page ( Killer Link) that referred to disappearing Wifi cards, mostly in reference to a buggy Windows update. Had a poke around the BIOS and couldn't find any references to Wifi or the M.2 slot (this seems to be normal). Tried updating the BIOS via Razer which worked, but no effect. I tried resetting the BIOS by disconnecting the battery, don't think I was able reset. At this point I gave up and ordered a USB wifi adapter (which is working fine, albeit on wifi 5).

    I was wondering if anyone had had this issue and been able to resolve it, or if anyone knew how to reset the BIOS on a Razer Blade 15 base model 2018/force re-enumeration of hardware?

    I never upgraded my rb2018 base from 1903

    It took my ax200 without any issues.

    see if it is detected in linux? Or another windows install?
