Hey y'all, I'm new here but this seems like the place for good BIOS info. I have a 2020 Razer Blade 15 Advanced i7 10875H RTX 2070 SUPER MQ 300Hz Screen. I was using Razer's BIOS updater to go from 1.03 to 1.06 and the thing BSOD'd on me. Now its a brick. I read through some posts here about recovering myself. The programmer and clip should be here today but my concern is that the BIOS currently written to the chip is incomplete or corrupt.

After reading all the write ups on BIOS mods here, I'm comfortable trying to read and write the BIOS back to the chip but I'm hoping someone on here has the same model and could send me a dump of their stock or modded BIOS.

    Appreciate any help on this!

I extracted the BIOS but when I open it in AMIBCP5, I don't see any of the other tabs like Setup Configuration. All I see is the BIOS Features tab

I think you’re in luck, I have the same specs on my Razer. If your mode number matches RZ09-03304E42-R3U1 then I’m currently uploading all the files I used to modify my BIOS. These are 1.03 with two reads of stock BIOS and the modified BIOS I edited in AMIBCP to unlock undervolting in BIOS and using ThrottleStop. Here’s a GDrive link you want: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1W6IVSVMBMkvzontwwFH99CpnWbWmFDiX/view?usp=drivesdk

I tried updating factory 1.03 to factory 1.06, and amazingly, the computer BSODED mid update and of course, I have a brick now. I am going to try and unbrick using your files. I have Razer Blade 2020 Advanced 10875H/2080 Super.

I’m not sure how that would work with yours having the 2080 Super MaxQ, but I think (correct me if I’m wrong) the VBIOS and BIOS are separate. Let us know how it goes!

Is the BIOS chip not the winbond chip next to the PCH, with white print around it? I cannnot get a read on it, just null values FF

Try to connect the clamp 180 degrees. My BIOS chip was the one with the white lines around it. There’s a dimple on the chip and that’s Pin 1 which should match Pin 1 on the clamp.

Connect the clamp 180 degrees? I have the red wire (pin 1) supposedly seating on pin 1 in the winbond chip (small dot, not the green one). No many how many times I try to read, it only gives me 16MB of null values. Something is not right. The computer was able to boot post brick somehow, on firmware 1.06, with my serial intact even after I supposedly had confirmation that your dump was written to my chip..... I’m so confused. I had none of these trouble in my RB15 base 2020

    Hello,

Sorry to bother you but I'm struggling with this problem for a month and lost a lot of uni work. I have the same spec laptop as yours however my model number is RZ09-03304E42 without the last few bits. I'm assuming you have the American one and I have one with British keyboard. Do you think this could cause any problems. I never flashed a bios do you potentially know any good tutorial and will I need any tools? So sorry to bother you but I'm desperate and that is why I'm posting here. Thank you so much in advance for even your time to read this.

    Kind Regards
