Does anyone have experience using the Crucial 480GB M500 mSATA SSD in the Razer 14?
It's on sale for $270 from newegg after $30 discount if you use a mastercard credit card, and no tax in most states. The next closest competitor brand is around $450.

The Crucial M500 benchmarks at 500 MB/s read and 400 MB/s write which is similar to the Samsung mSATA SSD that ships with the Razer 14. For some reason there is no Samsung 500GB mSATA SSD available for direct consumer purchase.

No, but it isn't doing the sandwich layer thing so it should be fine, just like the Samsung PM841 512GB is.

It comes and goes. I bought two earlier this year, one from AntaresPro, one from Provantage, for a bit under $400. Unfortunately they're not available at the moment.

I'm wondering the same thing. I'm looking to add one to my blade sometime over the holidays
