I'm having an increasingly annoying and detrimental issue with my Blade Pro. Grounding issue that affects my headset audio/mic quite badly, especially in Skype.

So I'm looking into replacing my Blade Pro, but I'm all the way here in the Philippines. I was told that there was a service center in Singapore? I was wondering if anyone could confirm or had experience with it?

I'm almost sure that Razer won't cover international shipping costs, so the nearer the service center, the lesser I have to pay for shipping I guess. Lesser waiting time too.

    Any help would be great.

True, though I was hoping since it was already just a revision of the original Blade, they'd know what to do =/

Oh well, I'll probably spend again for the shipping to the US. Still keeping fingers crossed though.

Would you know if previous Blade owners in Singapore can get service done there instead of shipping it all the way to the US? If that's the case, I might just wait until SG gets the Blade Pro, which might mean they can service it in Singapore.

Fingers crossed for you too, but just in case, I would prepare a backup plan. Just preparations in case you need to replace it.

Anyway the laptop is of international warranty. If I were to be unlucky i will just wait for the Blade to be release in Singapore. So that I can send it for repair locally.

    Is it through Amazon?

My understanding of the warranty of Razer is only valid in the country of purchase, which makes me think they'll only cover domestic shipping and I have to take care of international shipping.

The best way is to buy extended warranty thru razor store.

Yeah my I actually purchased an extended warranty with my unit.

Yup, same reason why I thought the warranty was only up to the USA as well. That paragraph.

I'll look into it more, I haven't even been able to register my extended warranty since I have no idea where the code is since I wasn't given one.

Sure, I already have and I think we're starting to coordinate with how this is going to push through. I've actually found the Extended Warranty code, it was just confusing as to what code it was for, but it was readily available. I'll let you know!

Not yet, I haven't really had the time nor opportunity to be able to sit and make that call. I've been in contact with their email support, which is looking good so far. Hopefully it'll turn out great.

My situation is actually way trickier than usual.

I'm a student who is from the Philippines (currently here now) but studying in Sydney. I'm going back at the end of the month. So I have two potential addresses abroad, three including my relative in the US. Lol.

    Just an update.

So they told me they can only ship it to a US address, which is expected. I'm now trying to determine if I have to send my unit back to them first and then get my replacement, or if I can get a replacement first then send my unit back. Waiting on a response.

so they can only send it to ur relatives place and u have to get ur relative to send it to u again. how troublesome!

From what I've understood from them, yeah that's the only way.

So for now, I'm trying to contact a relative who's situated in the west coast (since the initial delivery seemed to have originated from the west coast) to act as a proxy for me. My biggest issue would be paying the customs tax to send my unit to the US and again when it comes back in the Philippines. I'm hoping they're willing to send the replacement first too so when I receive that, I can make sure that one has no defects before I'm only left with that unit.

How much more troublesome would it be if the replacement they send has another defect altogether.

is it a must to ship back the packaging as well ? or just the unit itself will do ?

That I'm not sure of, but I've pretty much kept everything intact still so it'd probably look brand new minus the plastics. Lol.

Waiting on the reply from their US Blade service team now.

    Latest reply:

They can't cross ship a new one to me since "costs would be too high". Not sure what they mean here since I'd take care of international shipping anyway. I'm guessing the loss of a brand new unit while the replacement is taking place.

Other than that, everything else seems pretty standard. US shipping address before they issue me an RMA number.

Oops, forgot to update this thread. Here we go.

So I shipped my Blade Pro to their US RMA center a few days ago (my expense).

I was instructed to basically pack everything back into the Razer packaging, from the cool Blade box to the standard brown box. I was also instructed to print some forms out to include in the package.

I am using the same return shipping address that I originally used to first purchase my Blade (my US address that shipped it to me), which is on the east coast. I have a friend living on the West Coast who is more than happy to receive the Blade after repair and ship it back to me here, which most probably will save a few days to a week from transit time. I've yet to hear from Razer if it's still possible for me to change the return address of my repaired Blade, since it hasn't even gotten to them yet (FedEx tracking site says it's due to arrive on Tuesday).

I was told about a 3-5 day repair time.

My package also includes an overseas return label which, from my understanding, allows Razer to send it directly back to me here on my expense - I personally think this is the fastest way since it directly allows Razer to send it back to me. I don't know if they're willing to do it or if it's possible though.

So either way, I'm going to have to pay shipping again from US to here. Hopefully I can do something about the customs duty on my end. A few hundred bucks down to repair my Blade, then again it was a risk I was willing to take since I knew warranty was only valid in the US. I just didn't know that the Blade couldn't be repaired in the Singapore branch instead.

My next concern would be that even after spending for shipping both ways, if it comes back with a defect again, I don't know what I'm going to do. I don't think I can swallow another couple of hundred dollars gone and a few weeks without a laptop again.

If I wasn't in a need to find both a portable laptop for school/work and a gaming one, I would have waited until a more accessible seller became available.

It's definitely a risk bringing it overseas atm, but it's a huge payoff as well if you manage to get it to you with no problems and no defects at all. I have a friend here in the same town as I am that was lucky enough to get a Blade 14 512GB model completely perfect, so he's more than happy about his.

If you definitely have cash to spare in case of the same situation as I am, and you have a fairly smooth shipping process, I would suggest that you go for it. I can't imagine doing this if I had no contacts in the US or if I had no more savings to spend for the repair.

Yeah, its rly kinda risky..... My uncle flys weekly in the states for work and i'm about to ask him, if he can just bring it to me. Im pretty sure he will try to snuggle it through the custom, so it could be very cheap for me ;)

In that case, I'd definitely push through with it!

If he's nice enough to offer to bring it back for you, and in the worst case back and forth if you need repair, then that's really perfect :)

It's actually relatively quiet, in my opinion. I tried Dota 2 on it for awhile when I had it.

I mean it still turbos up and all, but it's not noisy at all or too loud to be distracting, in my opinion.

Does anyone know any repair centers in Singapore anyways? Apparently i went to Ban Leong Technologies which took me 2 hours to find out it was a warranty center and my razer Kraken's warranty had expired..so i need to find a repair center now.
