I spent awhile trying to get this working, but couldn't get it quite right. There are two major configuration options that I'm aware of.

    1. "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings"
    2. "Chrome://flags/HiDPI Support Windows"

I tried all 4 configurations and found the following:

    1:OFF / 2:OFF - Everything looks blurry.
1:ON / 2:OFF - Content looks sharp, UI is tiny. Tab text is too large and doesn't line up, tab favicons and x buttons are too low and hard to click.
    1:OFF / 2:ON - No effect, everything looks blurry.
1:ON / 2:ON - Content looks sharp, UI is large and blurry. Scroll bars are around 1cm wide, so horizontal scroll bars are really annoying.

I'd really love to get chrome looking nice on this display. The full bar of wasted space in IE really annoys me (the top bar above the URL has nothing in it except min/max/close buttons on the right).

Anyone had better luck than me?

All I did was a registry setting and installed beta channel chrome. There are some ui issues with moving the window but it works well enough. I'm on my phone or I would elaborate. Search in Google for chrome HiDPI registry.

To do so, simply track down the executable file for the program in question—Google Chrome’s is located by default at C:/Program Files(x86)/Google/Chrome, for instance—then right-click on it and select Properties. Then click on the Compatibility tab and check the box labelled “Disable display scaling on high DPI settings.”

What is the registry setting, and how does one install the beta channel chrome? Maybe this is just fixed in that version. I suspect the registry setting is just setting the flag that I mentioned above.

Like I said, I tried that and it resulted in the tiny UI with broken tab layouts.

I'm on Mobile.. Search Google, it's easy to find with minimal work.

I know exactly what you're talking about! do yo have any idea what is causing this problem? I'm having the same problems (text and UI is blurry) in itunes as well, but everything looks fine in internet explorer. I think it has something to do with Nvidia or DirectX.

Chrome 35 was just released to the stable channel so it's possible the registry key for enabling HiDPI mode in chrome will work without having to use the beta channel chrome, I'll try it tonight. I've been using the beta for a while it works well enough in HiDPI.

It has nothing to do with nvidia or directx and everything to do with the fact those apps are not yet designed to be HiDPI aware in Windows.

I use stable (not beta) and it works wonderfully with the guide provided, regarding moving windowed chrome, just move it my click and hold the tab (not window frame)

I just got the HiDPI registry edit to work. Not sure if I am going to revert back to IE actually. Text seems awkwardly spaced on Chrome.

Yeah, kerning send to have issues in some cases, it's better than nothing though. I started using Firefox on and off until Google can fix these issues.

Just wanted to let everyone know Chrome 36 was just released to the chrome beta channel. It fixes at least the UI issues when using HiDPI mode registry hack. Here's some nice highlights:

Fix images drawn with the NineImagePainter class in high DPI.
Fixed tab dragging which was broken on high DPI windows for scales other than 100%.
Fix hittest not working correctly on non client mouse messages on high DPI Windows.
Fix the ScreenToDIPPoint function on Windows high DPI.
Ensure that 200px assets are loaded for dpi scales over 1.25.
Fix Window size issues with high dpi enabled on Windows.
Ensure that we round the origin up when converting from device independent bounds to pixel bounds on Windows. -- This only matters for high dpi Windows and ensures that certain widgets like select items are displayed correctly. -- We already do this in DesktopNativeWidgetAura::SetBounds.
Updated chrome://power canvas to handle high dpi displays

It's much nicer using chrome now. :)

Mine does not look like that. What is your resolution and scaling set to?

Maybe it's a problem with that theme. Have you tried switching back to stock?

thanks for the suggestion. i reset the theme and it went back to normal. has anyone using Chrome beta (36) found a theme that scaled correctly? I tried several popular ones from the chrome store and they all had the same problem. On a side note, I read that kerning was still problematic on the razer, right?

Here and there, it's mostly fine. Firefox is still a bit better on HiDPI displays.

Thanks! Just installed beta 36, and the reg hack for chrome. What a difference, no more blurry text.
