Are you trolling? That is a horrible price for antiquated technology.

It's over $400 less than a new 2015, unless you NEED the newest there is no reason that you can not get this instead and be just as happy.

Look at his signature. His fingers wouldn't be able to click "buy" on anything but the highest-spec'd hardware.
(... but that Alienware desktop. man.)

I absolutely agree. It is like saying "I found a great deal on a CRT television!" There is a sucker born every minute.

I purchased my RB2014 for $1490 with shipping and taxes. It's a refurb and I got it on the 30% off CES Appreciation Sale. Calling the laptop antiquated is a drastic exageration. This thing is a beast and, like many, I couldn't justify spending 500-600 for a bump in graphics power. I can still play any game I want.

yeah the 2014 is still a beast, but the 2015 doesn't just offer a bump in graphics, its more like a small mountain in graphics lol( 970m is about 40% faster), and a huge jump in the cpu department! That deal for 1490 is such a steal, I would buy one right now for that price

Sorry to bump an old thread but this seemed like the relevant discussion. I just ordered the 2014 razer blade 512gb for $1700.

    http://www.amazon.com/Razer-Blade-T...id=1429680723&sr=1-1&keywords=razer+blade+512

In your opinion is this a good price? I was going to buy the 2015 for $2,700 but $1,000 more for 40% more GPU performance, 8GB more ram, and 5% better battery life just didn't seem worth it.

......Of course I will only infrequently play games on this and mostly not action games where high FPS is critical (I save those for my desktop). Short spurts of games like elder scrolls online or marvel heroes. Although i'm hoping this thing can handle battlefront 3 well enough.

I bought this for work and going back to college. I wanted a 13" macbook pro with quad core but doubt that will ever happen and the 15" is too big. 8GB of ram is enough to run two VMs at once, and a 512ssd without paying the crazy current gen SSD markup or voiding the warranty upgrading it myself.

But the one true reason I bought a razer blade it doesn't matter whether I use the 2014 or 2015 model. It is sexy as hell and reels in the nerd chicks like a brownie cheesecake brings in the big girls.

I would have just gone with a 1080p Matte Screen and a 970m, 256gb SSD, and 8gb of ram for the 2 grand and updgrade the SSD down the road. But that's just me. ...
