Is anyone else with a 2014 14 inch Blade noticing a longer than normal load time when opening apps? (Also unzipping)

Some examples with time in seconds:

    2011 Lenovo z570 | i7-2630QM 2.0-2.9GHz | Intel HD 3000 integrated graphics | Crucial M500 240GB SSD | 1366x786
2014 Razer Blade | i7-blah blah, you guys know the specs

    Application.....Lenovo....Razer
    excel......................2..........4
    chrome..................1..........3
    fire fox...................1..........7.5
    eclipse..................11..........20
    Notepad++...........0.5..........1.5
    crystaldiskinfo-unzip 3.5 ..........10

The times for the Razer match the Lenovo when the resolution is scaled down to 1600x900. Its pretty sad considering my Lenovo is about $1600 cheaper. Is this just something I have to deal with?

    *Notes on the attachments
Razer is on the left for the SSD benchmark
I've attached the Razer's CPU/GPU benchmark only, Lenovo's reads: 4.0 as its cpu score, ~9FPS for graphics test
I havent been able to find out how that cpu score is computed, but at least they show its performance relative to other cpu's

Strange but I haven't noticed anything like that, everything pretty much opens instantly.
    Click -done and open.

Interesting, if its only my Blade then I'll consider replacing it. Waiting 7 seconds for Firefox is quite annoying on a laptop like this.

I agree with IKAS. Firefox opens almost instantly for me even when loading my 6-10 tabs from the previous browsing session.

The only issue I've noticed at 1800p is that in some games the cursor response is a bit hesitant. Most evident to me in Diablo 3, when I run it at 1080p the cursor is 100% snappy and responsive to fast movement but when the resolution is upped to 1800p, it becomes sluggish.

The game is still playable and I have been playing it at 1800p, but I think it's a bit odd and I can't tell if it's the game or something else causing the issue, The desktop seems fine.
