    Pricing for the new Intel 12th-gen and RTX 3070 Ti/3080 Ti Razer Blade Advanced lineup is out and hoo boy. I'll just leave this here.

    Yeah Expensive!!! Is it 400 bucks extra price.
    I don’t really on 15 but 14 pretty lazy update, still no 32gb option, no 16:10 aspect, most probably no mux in 3500 American dollars, that means in EU close to 4K. The heck are they thinking to compete Apple price by only relying to amd and Nvidia Update?

    Another year, another disappointment

    How in the hell, Razer. Like ... At this point I'm certain it's Intel bullying them. There's no reason to not have AMD in their flagships at this point.

    They do apparently have mux switches. But that’s really it for the blade 14. Why still no 32GB of ram? Especially at that price? Jeez

    Because based on teardowns of the 2021 models I've seen, there is literally no room on the motherboard to add more RAM chips.

    You know what? I missed that it's DDR5 Ram. I figured they had higher capacity chips they could use. But that might not be a thing for DDR5 yet since that's brand spanking new. So atleast it's fast Ram. Price still makes Apple blush. :eek:

    RAM doesn’t need extra place like slot ram as well their physical size are same 16, 32, 64. They need to send engineers to Dell and Apple to learn how to increase capacity on soldered ram lmao.
    Ah you wait blade 15 AMD, wait will be forever :D

    Looks like the new Asus G14 will have a Mux switch and 32GB of memory.

    That has an amd GPU this time around though doesn’t it? I’d have to see it in action to see how it stacks up. Although it maybe much more affordable.

    Yeah it looks solid.

    * AMD 6900HS
    * AMD Radeon RX 6800S (100 watts)
    * 10 hour battery
    * Webcam (happy they added one)
    * 1440p 120hz 3ms display (16:10 aspect ratio)
    *

    https://www.engadget.com/asus-rog-zephyrus-gaming-laptops-2022-200003687.html

    The G15 can go up to the 6900S or a 3080TI. Also has a webcam.

    Will definitely need to watch for reviews then on the G14. The taller screen aspect ratio would be great so long as the 6800S can compete with the nvidia GPU.

    Yeah I hope the new AMD mobile GPUs are solid. The 6800M only found its way onto the Strix AE last year.

    Looks like they won't be out until Summer/Autumn.

    Alienware X14 will be out sooner (though from specs at least, I think the G14 looks better).

    The x14 makes me sad. Like nothing about it besides the design is even appealing. Atleast Asus and Razer are taking the 14” laptops seriously and cramming the most that they can into them.

    I was excited to see that Dell/Alienware have released a portable gaming laptop again, but I agree the blade 14 and G14 look better.

    Perhaps they're being cautious with thermals due to the design. It's always a balancing act.

    I had the Blade 14 recently. It's a great size, but is nearly 1.8KG. The Asus G15 is around 1.9KG so I think there's room for the 14 inch laptops to be lighter. If the X14 turns out to be significantly lighter, then the lower performance makes sense.

    Obviously, being lighter isn't always desired. I don't want to carry a massive desktop replacement around with me, but I'd take a little extra weight for additional performance in most situations.

    Keyboard and speakers are a big factor. Razer is one of the few laptops that has upward firing speakers. G14 looks like it has two down firing and two up firing. If they’re as good as the g15 then that’s promising.

    Did other already announce the prices? I think it’s regardless Razer all would be more expensive, like gpus price. Was shock seeing a 3070 cost almost double now, bought like 500 euros, now it’s a dream price. 2022 year to hunt Xbox and ps5 haha.

    MSI's RTX 3080Ti laptops are starting at 2500 USD so you are already paying 1000 USD razer tax. I'm not going to be doing that. I will wait for those models to go clearance like the 2080 Super versions did and get them for half off. No way you can convince me to spend >$3000 USD on any computer, ever

    Which model is it? Just googled 3080ti ge76 costs 4,2K, gs77 didn’t find but gs66 costs similar if not a bit lower than blade.
    Yeah me too, though back in 2012 I told me I won’t spend over 1K on any laptop, then 2017 2K, now I spent in second half 2021 like 4K, though 2 different type. Can’t hold my wallet seeing new tech :D
    2022 I’ll get ps5 for next 5 years, I’m done with this 6 months tech trend, probably later the year if not sooner they’ll bring 4060 mobile that performs better than 3080ti :biglaugh:

    I like to read up and stay current, but upgrade cycles are far and few in between. My M18x was my daily driver until last year, when I replaced it with a Razer Blade Stealth. however I miss having the large screen real estate, so I was thinking about moving to the razer blade pro, but not for 4000 USD + tax.

    I honestly wished I did that. My first Alienware laptop I got was about 14 years ago. And I kept it for a good 5-6 years. Good ol days where you could swap out just about anything a keep it going.
    But yeah $4000 is steep even if you did keep it for many years. Maybe you could find a deal on the out going 3080 model?

    I am content with my 2080SMQ, probably won't need an upgrade for 3-4 years. Razer has simply eliminated the 3080 models from their website instead of offering them in tandem or refurbished as they have done in this past

    TGP isn’t clear but 15 maybe the same since it use similar 230 watt but Pro should be higher since it use new 280 watt AC adapter, probably same with other desktop replacement “Maxp” laptops.

    Strange they don't seem to say? They have the spec sheets for all the new machines near the bottom of the page. But not TDP? So much for transparency.

    Yeah he didn’t joke telling this year Razer laptops would be more expensive, that Razer CEO. I’d wait till end of the year if you can hold your horses, this lazy gpu update might be bashed by 4000 series mobile later the year probably.
    I don’t think I’ll need new toys for couple months or years, enjoy new toys on emulating things (thanks to notch book that leads me there), there’s over 2000 available titles ps3 that i didn’t play lol. I’ve tons ps3 cds in cellar some are still sealed some maybe “stolen” by nephews :D.

    It would be nice to try the new Blade 14 but not at those prices. Plus my newly upgraded desktop really doesn't leave anything to be desired. And if the Steam Deck releases in February that will be a good portable gaming pc. If I ever make affiliate on Twitch maybe I'd do some live tests on some of these machines. *Hint Hint Wink Wink*

    Ah blade 14 comes this year with mux!! There’s GPU only mode now similar with Blade 15. Damn you why didn’t put it earlier. I don’t care about 1080p camera update but no mux sometimes feel missing something. Nvidia claim on Razer keynote 3070ti performs up to 70% :eek:better than previous gen 2070 super, that’s a lot, or did I hear wrong with 17% :biglaugh:

    I'm curious whether it'll support G-sync while in dGPU mode. I assume no since the website doesn't mention it. That's a shame.

    TGP for the 17 was listed as 165W in the spec sheet linked to in Razer's press release. There wasn't a TGP listed for the 14 or 15.

    I mean, realistically, how much better will the 3080ti be than the 11th gen models on the 15”? I ended up getting a 3070 model because the 3080 gave barely any performance increase due to the heat.

    love the idea of a 12th gen 3080ti ddr5 laptop, but honestly not sure if the gains over my 2021 model would be worth the price of entry.

    I think the 12th gen CPUs are the bigger gain vs 11th. I am very curious about the 3080 vs Ti. I think the biggest thing is the 16gb of vram you can get on the 14" razer

    Unless they have dramatically improved the cooling, the 3080ti will be much like the 3080 on the 15".

    Razer laptops have a great vapour chamber to spread the heat out but nowhere to dump the heat due to the small heatsink area.

    On press release they mentioned additional ventilation.
    I think Nvidia mentioned somewhere between 10 to 17%, yes with 16gb vram titles like watchdogs, RE village, far cry 6 would take advantage over 8gb vram.
    The price gap if I didn’t get 3080 because of €500 price gap (to 3070) with 16gb vram I’d go because those titles are playable on 3070 1440p ultra setting only bottlenecked by vram. But with 900 bucks price difference (3070ti to 3080ti 14) probably no.

    I agree. But then again, I'm mildly retarded and love to see how far I can push things. I'm running a 130w bios on my 3080 r/n. it gets on balanced or custom max, but stays at acceptable levels with fan set to 5000+. But, that extra 8gb of vram may help as you mentioned.

    What sort of temps are you seeing with the 3080? I have the early 2021 17” with 16GB since it’s the 4K/120hz model. I flashed the mid 2021 130W bios and it doesn’t get over 75C while gaming or benchmarking.

    I’d like to know if the new 280W ac adapter is capable of being used with the 2021 models to see if that would give us some additional power to mess around with.
