[Help] Looking for replacement battery for RB 15

So my Razer Blade 15 GTX 1070 (2018 version) has bulged; I've already taken out the battery and am now looking for a replacement. Do you guys have any recommended vendors that are reputable from prior experience? Thanks

 

Buy an Original/Genuine battery on ebay.

I work in a laptop repair shop and 9/10 they are actually new, and actually Original Manufacturer batteries vs the trash you can buy in a store or on amazon, which are always third party rip offs.

Definitely confirm the batteries model number before ordering.

 

Yesterday I was servicing my Blade 15 1070mq, opened it up and noticed that the battery had started to bulge up. On assembly the bottom panel wouldn't go back on because the battery had expanded even more while the panel was off, So I ordered a new razer 15 battery from ebay and removed the old one from blade.. seems to work fine without it, while plugged in in ofcourse. Great that I noticed it now so that it didn't have time to start pushing the aluminium body out of wack.

Seems like these battery problems are going around on razer laptop right now. Well this Blade 15 has lived most of its life plugged in so that might be reason for bulging too.

This all battery issues made me freaking out, and just checked it immediately. Mine seems to be fine and thanks found the fans are dusty again cleaned half year ago though, similar usage behavior all the time plugged @home like a desktop, well it’s my main PC.

 

How often do you game and what are the max temps you experience? I mostly only gamed on holidays since I am a college student, and the highest temps was around the 80s.

 

For me it was a funny scenario when I discovered it. It was during the last stretch of the Fall 2019 semester; I was at the library being productive when suddenly I accidentally slid the paper I was working on at the table. To my surprise, the paper slid inside a seam of the laptop right below the touchpad. I shrug it off as just the screws loosening. I go home to fix it, and decided to unscrew the entire backplate. With each screw taken out, the backplate starts to pop off on its own then finally taking launching into the air once the last one was taken out. Without a doubt, my laptop was pregnant. I don't how long it was before I had discovery, but the battery is sure puffed up.

 

That’s why maybe because you don’t use it often it bulged . Joke, it’s my main gaming PC so literally I use almost everyday 50 50 with Razer Core to play 4K games, competitive I use dgpu since I don’t have 144hz external monitor anymore. Temperature wise I keep both cpu and gpu in 80ish areas gpu usually lower on high 70ish with cpu spiking to low 90ish, long session i mostly use balanced mode. Your temperature isn’t bad actually maybe bad battery batch idk.
