    hey guys

    i wanna replace my dvd drive but i cant find out how to do it. please help.

    The first task is to remove the old optical drive. It is often held in by one or two screws on the bottom of the computer which will be around the edge of the drive (squarish and about the size of a CD box). However, sometimes the fixing screw(s) are under the keyboard.

    Once you have removed any screws then you should be able to pull the drive out. You will need to transfer any fixing brackets or rails and the fascia to the new drive. See this thread.
