Hi all,
I have that netbook and Windows 7 Starter.
Any video with VLC or else is playbacked with video tearing.
I guess is because Windows 7 Starter is without Aero.
Somebody can help me to fix the problem?
Thanks.

Hi,
1) Does this happen with any video (mkv, wmv, mp4, avi) regardless of video resolution?
2) Does this happen using different video players (VLC, win media player, any other)?
3) Do you have the newest graphics drivers installed either from Packard bell support website or Intel (I am guessing it has Intel onboard graphics)?
4) Did you install the newest system BIOS?
5) Please let us know what CPU model you have in your netbook.
5) Windows aero should not be related to tearing since Windows 8 does not have aero either.
Newest drivers can be found in PB support website:

Hi,
everything is updated because it's in use an update software.
Video is Intel gma x3150.
BTW, the problem seem the lackness of Aero Theme in Windows 7 Starter.
In fact, with another of my PCs, I disabled Aero and... I have the tearing too!
I googled and I understood that Aero makes Vsync enabled.
Windows 8 has no problem because Vsync is enabled anyway.
So my question is: the people who bought netbooks with 7 Starter, has all the same tearing problem as me?
Yes, I tried also with PowerDVD (other than VLC) and same problem. It's the vsync off! -
If you download k-lite codec pack (freewere), you will get media player classic/home cinema player. It has the option to enable vsync in the menu, which should eliminate the problem with tearing in movies. You can also download media player classic as a stand-alone media player.

Hi,
I prefer to don't download K-Lite because it's "dirt" the system (maybe I am dumb but I think that).
To enable vsync I could use XBMC too, but the problem in the other programs (Explorer, Chrome) remains.
I thank you anyway for patience and informations. -
Have a read through this article on Intel website, it might be helpful if you want to set vsync system-wide:

My only hope is that Aero will works with this system if I will install 7 Home or Professional.
