    Hello,
I was wondering if anyone can help? I've got a Packard Bell TM81 and the original battery was about dead as I've had it about 4 years so I to constantly keep in plugged into the charger which wasn't too much of a problem. But then for some reason it wasn't registering that it was on charge and flashing the battery light and the power switch light and thus the laptop would switch off. So I thought that the battery had totally given up. In the end I got a aftermarket battery upon good recommendations with the correct voltage etc, I plugged it into the laptop fully charged and discharged it all well and good, but then it started doing the same thing that is the laptop wasn't registering that it was plugged in to A/C Power and the battery light and the power switch light was flashing? but then to confuse things even more, on some occasions If I've then let it charge when it switches off and then power on the machine it keeps working? But as soon as I restart same thing happens?

Can anyone help? as its a really good workhorse and it would be a shame to have to throw it away !!

    Regards

    Wayne
