Hypersonic is a very good, reputable brand. Sharp PCs, top-of-the-line components, and they're the cheapest of the specialty brand notebooks (Alienware, VoodooPC, etc.) I looked hard and long at them more than any other laptop builder, but finally the Dell Inspiron 9100 won me over. It has all the same top-notch hardware, but it's a bigger, more cooling-efficient laptop, and it's about $400 less (depending on the config.)

However, if Dell doesn't strike your fancy, the Hypersonic I'd recommend would have to be the Aviator AX6. The Athlon64 is the best all around notebook processor out. It has battery life equivelant (or better) to the Intel Centrino, but it's much faster. The only downfall to that system would be the Radeon 9600 Pro Turbo. Although a great, speedy card, it's nonetheless not as fast as the Radeon 9700. If, however, you can live with the minor drop in graphics performance, that would be the best PC I can think of.

That's the one thing I'd change on my Dell. I'd rather have the Athlon64 over a Pentium4 for my notebook any day. :)
