I'm probably going to buy a 6324w soon. Whats holding me off is I dunno if I should wait for hdmi or not. I currently dont have a hdtv on my own that I want to connect it to, not even a lcd monitor, so atm I really have no need for hdmi. But I will probably take the lappy places where I would want to connect it to a hdtv. Now most hdtv's has vga input so thats an option. What I'm wondering is, would there be a significant quality difference between the vga and hdmi? The vga would be connected from a short distance with a short quality cable to make sure there is as little quality loss as possible. I could also make some good use of the regular tv-out as I will also go places where I would want to connect it to a SDTV and I def wont buy a converter for a few $100 so only way I'll be able to connect to SDTV is if I order with tv-out.

Please advice me on this, having a really hard time making up my mind.

If the HDTV or LCD has a VGA in and you use a resolution of less then about 1600x1200 you wont notice the quality differance unless you compare it directly to a digital picture and look close and try to see it. At higher resolution it is more noticable.

So if I was to play HD clips, mostly 720p, maybe some 1080p I wouldnt notice a significant quality loss with vga?

720p is a res. of 1280x720 so it will be fine. No noticeable differance.

1080p is 1920x1080 and it might be a bit blurry in the corners. Not like it will ruin the picture. Movies will be fine but still pictures might be noticeable.
