Well there is one solution to the keyboard: putting double sided tape underneath it. See hel 80 owners thread bout it. The keyboard is actually very easy to type on, the keys go down very easy, but the only annoying thing is how cheap it feels and how noisy it is.

Or you could go with an inexpensive external keyboard for when you're using it at your desk. But it's really not so bad as to make it unusuable.

We will receive the T7200 and T7600 later this week, so allowing for build and burn in time we will begin shipping them next week.

The T7400 will not be in for another two weeks, and we will begin shipping them the following week.

As for the keyboard, that is very subjective. We have several hundred of these in the field and have only had a few people complain or use one of the remedies in the HEL80 Owner's Lounge.

I only use the external keyboard because I prefer the feel of a desktop keyboard and mouse setup. As laptop keyboards go, I am OK with using the HEL80's one when the need arises.

I have looked to the pictures for putting some double-sided tape underneath the keyboard, but on the pictures I don't see the copper edge.
Could I put a screwdriver underneath the copper edge to pull up the copper edge with the brushed alluminium plate?

Some useful pointers on removing the strip above the keyboard:
