    Got a Compal ODM Toshiba Satallite 3005-S307. Any 3005 or 3000 probably has the same archetecture (mainboard). When I power on either with battery or AC it will start then right after the Toshiba screen it shuts down. I have my system with a password screen coming on after the Toshiba screen and at that point it shuts down. This is consistent. I cannot even type in the password to see the BIOS settings. Am curious what is wrong. The mainboard and LCD were replaced under warranty in early 2006. Yes its an old system but want to fix it if possible. Waranty is currenly out so sending it in is not cost effective.
