    are hgl30 and hel80 VBI?

    They are not VBI. That is an old Intel brochure published before Intel knew the difference.

    The VBI models don't have the H...they are EL80 and EL30. Some people even state them EL80i or EL30i.

    thanks donald! i'll be talking to you soon for my order...in the mean time, i still have to make up my mind between hgl30/hel80/s96j... i originally ruled out the compals, but now they look more and more enticing as i read more of these forum topics.
