Does anyone have experience with this company and the brand Winbooks? I can't find much about it except Consumer Reports (12/05) recommends Micro Center for buying computers. The Winbooks components look compelling, AMD processors for a good price. Any advice?

Winbook is a very small brand, but the owners that have posted here in the past seem to like them. I wouldn't avoid them if there's one that suits you.

I just recently purchased a Winbook V412 from Micro Center. Fast shipping and a price of $419.00 after rebate sounded great. Winbook offers a 1 year warranty. Micro Center offers a 7 day return with a 15% deduction for opening it. For the price you can't beat it. It's definitely not the Mercedes of laptops but neither is the price. Add some more memory and a $70.00 slim external DVD burner and you have everything you need.
