    Hello!

I'm thinking of trying Vista on my 6625wd, however should I choose 32bit version or 64? Is the Zepto 6625wd compatitble with 64bit OS and do I gain something from having that instead of 32 bit version.

I would like to try it tonight so please answer quickly if you can :)

    Cheers
    Adam

It depends on what hardware you got. There are more software out there for the 32bit version than the 64bit version, you should think about that to before you decide.

If you are going for 64bit then YES. Definite increase from going to 4GB.

More efficient at handling the memory, is more stable.

Rmclock wont work as easily in 64 bit.

Also if your going XP to vista the dvd drive might become missing (have to change bios setting for it to re-appear)

Ok... I think I'll order 2x2gb sticks to go with vista 64 then! Any recommendations? Anything I should consider when buying them?

    Thanks for all the help
    Adam :)

64bits, if your hardware fully supports it which zepto notebooks do, then go for it. I'm using 64bits too, no complaints.

    Got my 6625W Aug'07 4G Ram.
Always used Vista 64 bit Business edition. Not felt the urge to go/try 32 bit, or back to Win XP.

    64 bit SP1 improved it.
Some annoyances with Zepto BIOS last release improveded it (memory management, Video driver). There is a newer one (few days ago. Not loaded it yet)

I use it as an everyday work horse at my place of work (Not a game player)
Its HD hungrey. I got 160G Hybrid should have been bigger.

All my 32 bit software StylusStudio, Adobe, GIMP, SQL Sever etc work fine theres a "Program Files (x86)" Folder. Vista detects and places 32 bit in it.

I suspect there are more issues with 32 bit than the 64 bit. In my opinion Vista is not of Merchantable quality. Hence its slow take up. MS has ways to go yet.
