I can't get the TV out working...
I use the cable that came with my Compal to connect to the TV but i can't see any option to enable image through TV OUT socket.

The cable that i mention is:
    Picture: http://www.powernotebooks.com/specs/images/l8-15/l8-15cable1.jpg

A side: 7 pin s-video "female" (it has 2 opposite arrows printed on the jack) + 3 RCA "female" jacks, yellow(video), red(L or R audio) and white(L or R audio).

B side: 7 pin s-video "male"(it has a one way arrow printed on the jack) (which is the one that fits on the TV OUT socket).

So i connect the "B side" to the laptop TV OUT socket and the 3 RCAs to the TV input but in the nVidia Control Panel i can't find nothing to enable TV out...

Do i have to buy a different cable?
My TV doesn't have a direct S-video input but it has the 3 RCAs input that i use with my digital camera and it works OK.
    I'm using Forceware latest drivers.

PS: Paladin44, your wise and vast knowledge would also be helpful :D

    Help please

For tech support issues I have hired an entire 24/7 staff of trained technicians (the number is on the bottom of your computer, and under the Support and Contact Us buttons on our website) who are then backed by factory technicians to help with issues like this. It is much faster to call them (they are real people in the USA that actually answer the phone) and then you will get the help of people trained for this :D

porkster, have you plugged your coaxial cable into your laptop? It works just like it was a television...but you need to be subscribed to cable, or use a satellite or even a roof antennae or rabbit ears connected to a coaxial adapter.

i'm not talking about the TV-tuner. I'm talking about TV OUT. The possibility to put my desktop image on a regular TV.
paladin44 i didn't bought my Compal at powernotebooks.com, not even in America, i'm portuguese. I just wanted to know if anyone can display their desktop on a regular TV through TV OUT. if yes, HOW?? which cable have you used?? which option did you select on display properties??

I used a SCART-adapter which has s-video input. I directly connected my laptop to the SCART-adapter on my TV, works flawlessly. I must say, the TV-out of the GeForce 7600 Go is superb.

OK! So it seems that the supplied cable is only for use with the TV card, for recording from a VCR or anything else.

    So i'll buy that cable.
Is it similar to this?: http://www.spatz-tech.de/images/scart_svideo_web.jpg

TC03, after plugging the cable from notebook to TV is it necessary to enable something on the display settings??

    thanks
