I just got my TG Dreambook N7 in the post, sent from my home in NZ to Japan. Unfortunately, its not working! When I power it on, it initially makes a sound, but the screen in blank and it just sits idely???? Any idea what the problem could be? Bump in the post?

    Sorry to hear that ,

1st : try to see if the notebooks is really on ( leds , fan etc. ) as you wrote it makes a noise .

2nd : Check for screen problem by connecting an external monitor and try to convert to external display .

3rd : Is the screen blank or just black ? did you try the bios ?

4th : try to boot without battery / only 1 memory module / no wifi etc.

5th : most important ! did you check the electric supply , i don't know how it goes in Japan vs. NZ ? earth wire etc. ? maybe you shouldn't even try the above ..

I'm suggesting all these as a last resort if you got no help and service option there , some of the above might be harmfull and ofcourse it is best to let a service center handle this .
