I bought another laptop (xplio 4700, for those who wonders), this one with a mobile pentium 4 (the cpu inside the 6130 is not mobile, it doesn't change speed when it's running on batteries)

The computer boots fine with the mobile cpu, it goes in windows, all seems good. But the computer freezes as soon as your remove AC power. If you boot from the battery, it will go tru the BIOS, but will hang just after that. But you can play in the BIOS. The cpu is properly recognized as being a mbile pentium 3.06Ghz chip, but the BIOS doesn't have have it takes to handle speedstep. I tried booting into DOS with an USB key, but still no og. Suggestions ?

My bet is the BIOS wont accept it, just like you indicate.

Man, we really NEED a BIOS update for these!
