It will probably not mather at all because no 2,5" HDD is so fast so they need the 300gbits bus. Maby the SSDs but i doubt it.

Okay so im safe from compatibility issues on whatever of them I choose

btw, is there bi diffrences in speeds with a 8mb vs a 16mb buffer?

cos Im notshure if I want to spend 180€ on a 7200 200gb hdd, might go for a 160gb 7200 (and the biggest problem: cant find a 160gb 7k200 in either finland or sweden...)

16MB buffer is better.. But I thought 7K200's are always 16MB cache..

You haven't got anything at this info but the prices in the Netherlands:
    7K200 - 100GB - € 80,-
    7K200 - 120GB - € 90,-
    7K200 - 160GB - € 120,-
    7K200 - 200GB - € 140,-

    Aren't there any nice eBay-advertisements? 200GB'er for $170,-
