After routinely performing well, my Cyber Power S96J (Wimdows XP/2G RAM/Core 2 Duo/Z96J bios V.0901) decided not to boot Windows XP. It displays Windows splash screen, then a brief blue screen (too brief to make out; I cought something about seeing my administrator), followed by few seconds of a blank screen with a cursor. After a few seconds, it repeats the process, and would do so all day if I let it.
In safe mode, it halts on a system32 folder (mup...?), followed by a statement of a corrupt or missing file that can't be loaded. It then begins a memory dump, and repeats the process.
When choosing an enhanced start mode, I got to display:
    "KBC BAT TEST FAILED"

Any insight would be greatly apprciated. Thanks for all the great posts.

You'll need a Windows XP repair disk. Try repairing it with the disk.
