Well the mech is a lot more expensive, but that battery life really makes a difference. It depends on your use case and how readily available power outlets are. If all you're doing is traveling from a home desk setup to a desk at work, then the battery life probably isn't that important. But, if you travel all over the place or you're a student and your school doesn't have outlets in good spots (or if they're all broken), then go for the mech. If you want big battery and light weight like me, then maybe go for a mag 15.

As for 3 monitors, depending on the resolution and refresh rate of them, you could potentially get a thunderbolt 3 dock for that.

That’s not true at all. If you spec the Max-15 with the same 2070 super and 240Hz display then they are literally the same price. And when specs are equal I think the Mech-15 blows that Max-15 out of the water. The only reason you’d want the Max-15 is you REALLY need something slim. Or if the OP doesn’t want the latest GPU in his machine, then the Max-15 is cheaper with older specs.

If the Max-17 didn’t exist I would go with the Mech-15. Better keyboard, better cooling, better port selection, and much larger battery. Hopefully in the future give the Max-15 a bigger battery to make it more worth the money.

Oh I completely misremembered the prices then, my bad.

In that case, if $2000 is within budget, then definitely go for the mech

In practical terms, how many hours/min can the mech give me vs. the max? Its hard to decide because I want a thin, light and lasting battery laptop.

Well, the max will probably get you around 7 hours of web surfing on battery saver mode, and 2 hours while gaming in balanced, and the mech should be around closer to 4-5 web surfing and 1 gaming.

Can you give me the Tongfang chassis numbers for the new mech 15 and max 15? Are we talking about GM5MP0Y vs GM5MP0W (rtx 2060 model)?
