    Hello,

i got a NOX A15. And because of the noisy fan i updated the BIOS to 4638. But since i updated it, my fan doesnt start at the specified TEMPs( i set it to 55 degrees and it starts at round about 75 degrees) and i got a really annoying problem with the USB Power supply.

When i shut down my NOX, my external drives get power from the USB Ports all the time. Because of that i downgraded my Bios and the USB Problem is already there.

I cant contact anyone of the zepto support, neither in the live chat nor via email.

So i wanne ask if someone got the same problem and if someone has an email adress or something where i can get someone of the zepto support.

    Nice regards
    Con

I don't think there's any e-mail except regarding reclamation etc. which will just forward you to the support number, have you tried calling the support?

No i didnt try the supprt, because i´m from germany, and the german support was disabled. So i hoped that i can solve the problem via email, but it seems that zepto doesnt use emails :D

first of all, call them. Support line number is best option. I tried contacting them by email, they said to call them. So emailsupport is a no go atm.

A noisy fan can indicate that your fan is dirty and needs cleaning rather then a bios upgrade. Best to reload the bios again and don't change anything.

My advice on the usb machine: if you don't like your usb devices stealing power, then unplug them. Are you positive the drives still get power when your nox is shut down? Are there no other adapters connected to your usb devices?

Am assuming that the Nox A15 uses the same fan as the my Znote G14? If so, it's possible that the fan's bearings have worn out prematurely. The noise is either a squealing sound or chattering.

    thx first.

the fan is clean. The NOX; NEXUS etc have the problem, that the fan cant run really slowly, so it runs relative noisy.

My USB devices get the power from the Notebook, its an notebook cooler and a 2,5" external drive. When i unplug the AC adapter, so my NOX runs on battery all external usb driver and my cooler dont get power from my notebook. Its really strange

Doesn't matter whether or not the fan is clean. My G14B needed a new fan within one month after purchase. The fan had a defect which caused it to lose it's lubrication. The fan was not dirty but had droplets spattered inside it's duct... was hard to see.
