i see best buy just entered a Medion notebook with 2200+amd and combo drive for $699 after rebate. Does anyone know the performance or reliability of this brand as opposed to the other low end i.e. averatec and toshiba satellite.

Also what is the best inexpensive notebook with full features i.e. CD & DVD burner ?

    thanks

your welcome and by the way i would like an unbias viewpoint on pros and cons of mac vs. pc notebook or desktop. also i have been trying to find more data and reviews on Medion but it is difficult and it is a big german company who is breaking into usa market.
