    Hi all,

Because of lots of latency spikes caused by energy saving option of laptops, I would like windows installs itself as if it was on a pc and not a laptop to avoid all acpi management.

Is it possible ? I'm really fed up with those problems of latency

I don't think enabling energy savings on laptops is dangerous...millions and millions laptops are used world wide, 95% of them use energy savings. I never heard a problem regarding latency spikes caused by the energy savings.

You should have a look on the net by browsing "acpi.sys latency" for example. This is common problem for people who use there laptop for audio (djing for example). Spikes are in a lot of cases caused by Powermizer of nvidia.

Energy savings do cause spikes on laptop try to have a look on it on google
