I have the laptop Power button set to make the PC sleep.

Sometimes when using the power button to sleep, the JHL90 switches off the screen but the fans and hard drive keep running, I have to keep pressing the power button and scroll pad until eventually it will shut down completely and restart rather than sleep but it goes to the Windows Error Recovery screen.

If I use the Power button in the task bar to make the PC sleep it seems to work ok ... any idea why this happens?

What operating system are you running? The only thing I can think off of the top of my head is that there may be discrepancies between what the button is meant to do either between your bios/drivers and your OP. You should check to make sure that Windows powersave options match the native ones for your computer (if your computer has this)

The only time I had a problem like this was when I was using a USB HDD and while connected it would keep my computer on.

I'll try and browse around and see if there are any fixes.
